Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The SAUCERIAN was a saucer magazine founded by Gray Barker, as editor. The main idea behind The SAUCERIAN, like many similar publications of that time, was to create a forum for UFO experience and saucer sightings for the purpose of the investigation of spacecraft, extra-terrestrial travel, and other subjects relating to these matters in order to encourage public support of projects in connection with these phenomena. The SAUCERIAN was published under the banner of Barker's Saucerian Books. Gray Barker (May 2, 1925 - December 6, 1984) was an American writer best known for his books about UFOs and other paranormal phenomena. His 1956 book They Knew Too Much About Flying Saucers introduced the notion of the Men in Black to UFO folklore. He spent most of his life in central West Virginia, earning a degree from Glenville State College, teaching school, and booking acts for local theaters. Barker's interest in unidentified flying objects was sparked by mysterious sightings of the Flatwoods Monster in 1952. Following the 1967 collapse of the Silver Bridge in Point Pleasant, Barker published his next book, The Silver Bridge, which popularized the Mothman legend. In 1983, he wrote MIB, The Terror Among Us, about the Men in Black. Saucerian Publisher was founded with the mission of promoting books in Science Fiction. Our vision is to preserve the legacy of literary history by reprint editions of books which have already been exhausted or are difficult to obtain. Our goal is to help readers, educators and researchers by bringing back original publications that are difficult to find at reasonable price, while preserving the legacy of universal knowledge. Very rare The SAUCERIAN collection! This is a rare set of The SAUCERIAN issues published by Gray Barker between 1953 and 1955. These are VERY hard to come across these days. We decided to published them as a collected edition as a set (6 issues) to make it easier for someone to add them to their flying saucer / UFO collection. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It is generally a good idea to return to the classics in any genre. This also goes for UFO literature. Rereading a book after ten or twenty years is a rewarding experience. You will discover new data and ideas you didn ́t notice before. The reason, of course, is that you are, in many ways, not the same person reading the book the second or third time. Hopefully you have advanced in knowledge, experience, intellectual and spiritual discernment. A good starting point is to reread the contactee classics of the 1960s, in order to understand the deeper mystery involved in what happened during that era. The Flying Saucer Review was published under the banner of the Flying saucer Service, ltd, a London based UFO research by Charles Bowen. It issued a bimonthly magazine: Flying Saucer Review. This publication, like many others of that time, was a forum for fortean experience and UFO sightings.Saucerian Publisher was founded with the mission of promoting books in Science Fiction. The first five issues of Barker's The Saucerian Bulletin, those being March, May, September, October, and November of 1956 (volume 1, numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5). Letter size. The very first volume, all five first issues is one of the earliest serials produced by Barker, an iconic promoter of UFO research in the early days who is now seen by many as a controversial figure. In his books and periodicals, he presented sightings and incidents; He was as instrumental as anyone in early dissemination of information about the "Men In Black" phenomenon, and to UFOs misteries. Book excerpt: 1947 is considered by most historians of the United States as the year when the Cold War began with the implementation of the "Truman Doctrine" to contain the propagation of world Communism, which give rise to the anti-communist hysteria of the following years. Also, 1947 was the year when the first UFO sightings were reported in the summer. Kenneth Albert Arnold was born on March 29, 1915 in Sebeka, Minnesota, and died on January 16, 1984 at the age of aged 68. He was the owner of Great Western Fire Control Supply in Boise, Idaho that sold and installed fire suppression systems. Also, as a result of the nature of his job that took him around the Pacific Northwest, he uses his experience as pilot to travel in a CallAir A-2 . On June 24, 1947, Arnold was flying from Chehalis, Washington, to Yakima, Washington, in his CallAir A-2 on a business trip. He made a brief detour after learning of a $5,000 reward for the discovery of a U.S. Marine Corps'C-46 transport airplane that had crashed near Mt. Rainier. The skies were completely clear and there was a mild wind. Arnold would later recall, he saw a bright light-just a flash, like a glint of sun as it hits a mirror when the glass is angled just so. It had a blue-ish tinge. At first, he thought the light must have been coming from another plane; when he looked around, though, all he could see was a DC-4. It seemed to be flying about 15 miles away from him. It was not flashing. And then the lights came again-this time, in a series. Nine flashes, in rapid succession. Arnold originally described the objects' shape in many ways as: "flat like a pie pan", "shaped like a pie plate", and also described their erratic motion being "like a fish flipping in the sun" or a saucer skipped across water. From these, the press quickly coined the new terms "flying saucer" and "flying disc" to describe such objects, many of which were reported within days after Arnold's sighting. After his UFO sighting, Arnold became a minor celebrity, and for about a decade. Saucerian Publisher was founded with the mission of promoting books in Science Fiction. Book excerpt: New Saucerian is delighted to present Albert K. Bender's "Space Review," a collection of volumes from Bender's quarterly magazine of the same name. Bender was the founder of the first major UFO club in the world, the International Flying Saucer Bureau (IFSB), founded in 1952. Even though the bureau was a great success, it was mysteriously closed down the following year. This rare anthology was originally published in conjunction with Bender's first book, Flying Saucers and the Three Men, which was beset by various "jinxes," Men in Black attacks, missing manuscripts, psychic disturbances, and other unusual delays. Until now, these issues of "Space Review" were only available to members. For the first time ever, they are being made available for the general public to enjoy. Inside, one finds interesting details that may lead to some understanding of what exactly happened to Bender, who became a media star after announcing he had been taken to a "bisexual" planet, Kazik. According to Bender, the denizens of Kazik had not only surrounded Earth with an array of orbiting spacecraft, but had also buried "motherships" in remote regions like Antarctica, in an effort to extract a key substance from our seawater. Bender's colorful descriptions of the people of Kazik, having received wide attention in the early days of ufology, influenced a generation of saucer enthusiasts, who put the stories into mass circulation. As a result, many elements of Bender's fantastical tale can still be found today, in programs like Futurama, The Matrix, X-Files, and countless others. "Perhaps the single biggest influence on saucer lore, ever..." -John A. Keel

Book excerpt: Van Tassel was a classic 1950s contactee in the mold of George Adamski, Truman Bethurum, Daniel Fry, Orfeo Angelucci and many others. He hosted "The Giant Rock Spacecraft Convention" annually beside the Rock, from 1953 to 1978, which attracted at its peak in 1959 as many as 10,000 attendees. Guests trekked to the desert by car or landed airplanes on Van Tassel's small airstrip, called Giant Rock Airport. Over the years, every famous contactee of the period appeared personally at these conventions, and many more not-so-famous ones. References often state that the first and most famous contactee, George Adamski, pointedly boycotted these conventions; however, Adamski did, in fact attend the third convention, held in 1955, where he gave a 35-minute lecture and was interviewed by Edward J. Ruppelt, once head of the Air Force Project Blue Book. It was apparently the only such convention Adamski ever attended. Van Tassel founded a metaphysics research organization called The Ministry of Universal Wisdom, and The College of Universal Wisdom to codify the spiritual revelations he was now regularly receiving via communications with the people from Space.Proceedings of the College of Universal Wisdom was the official publication of the College of Universal Wisdom, the educational branch of the ministry of Universal Wisdom, founded by George W. Van Tassell (1910-1978). Van Tassell was the author of I Rode in a Flying Saucer (1952) and other books and the organizer of Giant Rock Space Convention, held annually at Giant Rock Airport, near Yucca Valley, California. The ministry was founded to perpetuate the teaching received from UFO visitors. The messages from outer space were published in the Proceedings. Toward the end of Van Tassel's life the Proceeding became irregular and then ceased to exist altogether. George Van Tassel died of a heart attack in Landers, California in 1978. Book excerpt: THE A.P.R.O BULLETIN was published by Coral Lorenzen at Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin under the banner of the AERIAL PHENOMENA RESEARCH ORGANIZATION. This publication was a forum for Fortean experience and saucer sightings. It was first published in 1952.Aerial Phenomena Research Organization (APRO) APRO was founded in January 1952 by a Wisconsin couple, Jim (Leslie James) and Coral E. Lorenzen who later moved to Alamogordo, New Mexico, and finally to Tucson, Arizona, where the organization was based until it was dissolved in 1988, when Coral E. Lorenzen passed away on April 12, 1988. The organization was founded on the premise that the UFO phenomenon is important enough to warrant an objective, scientific investigation. Toward this end, APRO became a pacesetter in many ways. APRO was the first organization of its kind in the world in that it always maintained representatives in most foreign countries who kept headquarters in Tucson informed concerning UFO activity around the globe. About 10 percent of its membership were outside the United States.Saucerian Publisher was founded with the mission of promoting books in Science Fiction. Our vision is to preserve the legacy of literary history by reprint editions of books which have already been exhausted or are difficult to obtain. Our goal is to help readers, educators and researchers by bringing back original publications that are difficult to find at reasonable price, while preserving the legacy of universal knowledge. This book is an authentic reproduction of the original printed text in shades of gray. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The term "foo fighter" was used by Allied aircraft pilots during World War II to describe various UFOs or mysterious aerial phenomena seen in the skies over both the European and Pacific theaters of operations. Though "foo fighter" initially described a type of UFO reported and named by the U.S. 415th Night Fighter Squadron, the term was also commonly used to mean any UFO sighting from that period. Pilots provided detail descriptions of these orbs. According to them, these objects were variously described as fiery, and glowing red, white, or orange. Some pilots described them as resembling Christmas-tree lights and reported that they seemed to toy with the aircraft, making wild turns before simply vanishing. Pilots and aircrew reported that the objects flew formation with their aircraft and behaved as if they were under intelligent control, but never displayed hostile behavior. However, they could not be outmaneuvered or shot down. At that time, blaming Nazi Germany responsible for the flying glowing orbs wasn't too far-fetched. For one thing, the sightings took place over Nazi-occupied Europe, at a time when Germany's Luftwaffe was making tremendous strides. However, the sightings stopped once the German army was defeated....at least momentarily. Saucerian Publisher was founded with the mission of promoting books in Ufology, Paranormal, and the Occult. Our vision is to preserve the legacy of literary history by reprint editions of books which have already been exhausted or are difficult to obtain. Our goal is to help readers, educators and researchers by bringing back original publications that are difficult to find at reasonable price, while preserving the legacy of universal knowledge. This book is an authentic reproduction of the original articles printed text in shades of gray. Many times the newspaper articles repeat the same news. Therefore, we have included only one as a sample. IMPORTANT, despite the fact that we have attempted to accurately maintain the integrity of the original work, the present reproduction has missing and blurred pages, poor pictures from the original scanned copy. Many of the original pages are shadowy, and faint. ILLEGIBLE PAGES HAVE A NOTE. Because this material is culturally important, we have made available as part of our commitment to protect, preserve and promote knowledge in the world. This edition is a collection of articles material, an anthology of newspaper articles on "Foo-Fighters" that covered the years: 1942 to 1987. This title has the following parts: 1.Prologue, 2. Introduction; 3. Newspaper article (1942 to 1987)._____Copy and paste the link for our books: https: //saucerianbooks.blogspot.com/ ______

Book excerpt: Do you enjoy the fantastical characters and plot lines in shows like "Futurama," "The Matrix," "X-Files," and "Twin Peaks"? Curious about the sudden rise in polyamory and bisexuality, or the reputed use of psychic thought-waves by remote viewers to kill enemy combatants? Well look no further... New Saucerian proudly presents the original paperback of Albert K. Bender's "Flying Saucers and the Three Men" - the book that started off the Men in Black (MIB) craze and influenced several generations of science-fiction writers. This carefully crafted facsimile reprint features the wonderful cover art from the original 1968 paperback edition. In these pages, Bender tells the story of how he was "hushed-up" by the mysterious MIB, and then taken to another planet, Kazik, whose somewhat genderless inhabitants planted strange thoughts in his head. Were these MIB and spacemen from outer space, Inner Earth, or agents of some terrestrial government? This must-have ufological classic features annotations, introduction, and epilogue by saucer pioneer Gray Barker, who tried his damnedest to get the reclusive Bender to reveal the entire story.
