The company Henry worked for, learning their employees might soon become their competitors, brought unjust criminal accusations against them, making Henry’s life very difficult. After being found guilty of crimes that were not really crimes at all, his life became complicated when he was assigned to a corrupt probation officer. This probation officer did everything imaginable to keep Henry from getting back on his feet until Henry became determined to get out from under the probation officer’s power. The result—Henry decided to pay off his court fines as quickly as possible, and he did that through a series of bank robberies. Without giving away everything that happened to Henry, the end result was he was caught and went to prison. While Henry’s life to that point might seem somewhat sensational to readers, what happened next is remarkable. Ultimately, everything in life revolves around the decisions we make and how we decide to handle situations. Henry discusses how to avoid negative thought patterns so we aren’t trapped by them. He encourages us to reach out to others to build a support network. He recommends developing a clear sense of purpose so that we don’t lose sight of our goals when adversity strikes. He helps us learn how to overcome fear and refuse to be a victim of circumstances by realizing what part of our circumstances we can control. Henry knows from personal experience that learning these lessons and making these changes is not easy. He states: “It was a challenging process. I had to confront some hard truths about myself and my past.
