Book Synopsis System Level Design with .Net Technology by : El Mostapha Aboulhamid
Download or read book System Level Design with .Net Technology written by El Mostapha Aboulhamid and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2018-10-03 with total page 317 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The first book to harness the power of .NET for system design, System Level Design with .NET Technology constitutes a software-based approach to design modeling verification and simulation. World class developers, who have been at the forefront of system design for decades, explain how to tap into the power of this dynamic programming environment for more effective and efficient management of metadata—and introspection and interoperability between tools. Using readily available technology, the text details how to capture constraints and requirements at high levels and describes how to percolate them during the refinement process. Departing from proprietary environments built around System Verilog and VHDL, this cutting-edge reference includes an open source environment (ESys.NET) that readers can use to experiment with new ideas, algorithms, and design methods; and to expand the capabilities of their current tools. It also covers: Modeling and simulation—including requirements specification, IP reuse, and applications of design patterns to hardware/software systems Simulation and validation—including transaction-based models, accurate simulation at cycle and transaction levels, cosimulation and acceleration technique, as well as timing specification and validation Practical use of the ESys.NET environment Worked examples, end of chapter references, and the ESys.NET implementation test bed make this the ideal resource for system engineers and students looking to maximize their embedded system designs.

This book was released on 2009-09-18 with total page 333 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This Festschrift honors George Samuel Fishman, one of the founders of the eld of computer simulation and a leader of the disciplines of operations research and the management sciences for the past ve decades, on the occasion of his seventieth birthday. The papers in this volume span the theory, methodology, and application of computer simulation. The lead article is appropriately titled “George Fishman’s Professional Career.” In this article we discuss George’s contributions to operations research and the m- agement sciences, with special emphasis on his role in the advancement of the eld of simulation since the 1960s. We also include a brief personal biography together with comments by several individuals about the extraordinary effect that George has had on all his students, colleagues, and friends. Thesecondarticle, titled“AConversationwithGeorgeFishman,”isthetranscript of an extended interview with George that we conducted in October 2007. In the article titled “Computer Intensive Statistical Model Building,” Russell Cheng studies resampling methods for building parsimonious multiple linear regr- sion models so as to represent accurately the behavior of the dependent variable in terms of the smallest possible subset of explanatory (independent) variables. The author shows how bootstrap resampling can be used not only for rapid identi cation of good models but also for ef cient comparison of competing models.
Book Synopsis Accelerating Test, Validation and Debug of High Speed Serial Interfaces by : Yongquan Fan
Download or read book Accelerating Test, Validation and Debug of High Speed Serial Interfaces written by Yongquan Fan and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2010-10-20 with total page 194 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: High-Speed Serial Interface (HSSI) devices have become widespread in communications, from the embedded to high-performance computing systems, and from on-chip to a wide haul. Testing of HSSIs has been a challenging topic because of signal integrity issues, long test time and the need of expensive instruments. Accelerating Test, Validation and Debug of High Speed Serial Interfaces provides innovative test and debug approaches and detailed instructions on how to arrive to practical test of modern high-speed interfaces. Accelerating Test, Validation and Debug of High Speed Serial Interfaces first proposes a new algorithm that enables us to perform receiver test more than 1000 times faster. Then an under-sampling based transmitter test scheme is presented. The scheme can accurately extract the transmitter jitter and finish the whole transmitter test within 100ms, while the test usually takes seconds. The book also presents and external loopback-based testing scheme, where and FPGA-based BER tester and a novel jitter injection technique are proposed. These schemes can be applied to validate, test and debug HSSIs with data rate up to 12.5Gbps at a lower test cost than pure ATE solutions. In addition, the book introduces an efficieng scheme to implement high performance Gaussian noise generators, suitable for evaluating BER performance under noise conditions.
Book Synopsis Advances in Production Management Systems by : Norio Okino
Download or read book Advances in Production Management Systems written by Norio Okino and published by Springer. This book was released on 2013-06-29 with total page 483 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume includes 41 revised papers selected from 125 papers presented at the th 6 IFIP Technical Committee 5/Working Group 5.7 International Conference on Advances in Production Management Systems - APMS'96 -held at Kyoto, Japan, 4-6 November 1996. The task of selecting papers was accomplished by the IPC members voting. The selected papers were reviewed by IPC members who attended the conference. Based on the comments of reviewers, each paper was revised and rewritten in the format of this book. Therefore, the quality of each paper was raised very much. The papers selected in this volume were classified into invited articles and six themes taking into account the perspectives and future challenges in production management systems. Invited articles provide the overview of the present and future trend in the manufacturing world. Six themes were Next Generation Manufacturing Systems and Production Management, Benchmarking, Integration in Manufacturing and Decentralized Production Management, Strategic Aspects, Production Planning, and Production Scheduling. Each theme covers important area of present and future production management reflecting the recent trend in manufacturing toward globalization, agility in variety production, human centered manufacturing, environment consciousness, and so on. We hope that this volume will emerge a lot of new ideas to reach the goal of IFIP WG5.7 "Computer Aided Production Management" and to bridge the gap between research and industrial practice in production management systems.
