Download or read book Interkulturelle Kommunikation im globalen Bildungsraum written by Vasiliy Kovalev and published by Anchor Academic Publishing. This book was released on 2017-03-16 with total page 239 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. This anthology adresses the topic of interculturality and, therefore, includes articles in English, German and Russian. In the context of the ongoing globalization, intercultural communication becomes increasingly important: global mobility and division of labour, free travelling combined with new communication technologies encourages exchange between people from different cultures. This requires intercultural competence and communication skills not only in private contexts but on the labour market as well. From different points of view the authors of this book discuss the relevance of intercultural communication. By showing how different disciplines deal with this topic the book gives the reader a multiperspective insight on the discourse of interculturality.

Book Synopsis Interkulturelle Führung by : Sven Löhr
Download or read book Interkulturelle Führung written by Sven Löhr and published by GRIN Verlag. This book was released on 2008-12-03 with total page 60 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Synopsis Analytics and Intuition in the Process of Selecting Talent by : Jürgen Deters
Download or read book Analytics and Intuition in the Process of Selecting Talent written by Jürgen Deters and published by Walter de Gruyter GmbH & Co KG. This book was released on 2022-11-07 with total page 662 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Human decisions, especially in management and personnel selection, are based on making judgments about people analytically and intuitively. Yet in business and scientific contexts, judgments are expected to be based on a rational analysis rather than intuitions or emotions. Intuition is often seen as something mystical that should not be trusted and thus eliminated from human decision-making. Our empirical and theoretical research shows that this is impossible when people are dealing with people. Instead, intuitions and emotions have significant power in the decision-making process. Neuroscience even shows that humans are incapable of switching off their emotions or intuitions when making decisions. Therefore, intuition and emotions as evolutionary achievements of human beings should be looked at more closely to use the wisdom they offer. This book provides an insight into the current state of research on rational-analytical procedures in personnel selection and complements this with research on intuitions and emotions in personnel diagnostics. By integrating scientifically verifiable rational-analytical decision-making procedures with the inner experiential knowledge of people, this book bridges two complementary ways of recognizing and making good decisions. It demonstrates how intuitions are developed and used in different fields of practice and cultures and how scientific research results from rational-analytical and intuitive-emotional selection procedures are successfully integrated by practitioners.
Book Synopsis Interkulturelle Führung und ihre Grundprinzipien. Entwicklung eines Vermittlungskonzepts für Führungskräfte by : Leona Bungart
Download or read book Interkulturelle Führung und ihre Grundprinzipien. Entwicklung eines Vermittlungskonzepts für Führungskräfte written by Leona Bungart and published by GRIN Verlag. This book was released on 2021-08-03 with total page 43 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The development of international business and of globalization in every field of activity requires the interaction of individuals and groups with diverse cultural, religious, ethnic and social characteristics in different institutional contexts. Cross-cultural Challenges in International Management addresses the various difficulties that may impede smooth communication and cooperation of those involved in such interactions. It examines what types of resources are mobilized to overcome such difficulties. The cultural and societal challenges of international management must be considered at different levels, the one of strategy, which the first part of the book is devoted to, but also that of management and business practices, addressed in the third part of the book. Both strategic decisions and daily business practices, however, in the particularly fluctuating and incompletely defined international context, gain from being framed by ethical and corporate social responsibility, which the second part of this book is devoted to. Cross-cultural Challenges in International Management provides an analysis of specific situations revealing such cultural or societal challenges. Thus, the reader will benefit not only from advanced theoretical knowledge in the field, but also from practical applications in various professional context and various countries. Practitioners, students in various fields of social sciences, particularly in management, communication, international relations, and researchers will widely benefit from this book.

Book Synopsis Management of Organizational Culture as a Stabilizer of Changes by : Ibrahiem M. M. El Emary
Download or read book Management of Organizational Culture as a Stabilizer of Changes written by Ibrahiem M. M. El Emary and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2020-05-04 with total page 208 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: No enterprise today is proud of being unchanged. Stability is understood more as a sign of stagnation than reliability, and enterprises that do not change and do not evolve are commonly regarded as fossilized. Increasing globalization processes often force today’s enterprises to make organizational changes, but the effectiveness of these processes relies on its organizational culture. This book argues that the problem behind organizational culture is its multilevel structure, including the visible and hidden levels. It addresses difficult questions, such as: Is it better to make thorough, but more painful changes, or to gradually introduce small improvements? It also demonstrates that organizational culture is not a fixed phenomenon: its shaping takes place in stages, and it is essential to take such stages into account in the process of implementing the strategy of an enterprise. Providing a comprehensive insight into "organizational culture" and its relationship to change, this book will be essential reading for professionals involved in business management and IT management throughout the world. Its analyses and suggestions will allow for improved organizational culture and change management in business environments.
