These biologically active Schiff base ligands have also been shown to inhibit enzyme mobilization and, when bound to a metal ion, exhibit enhanced biological activity, making them useful in a number of fields. Schiff base complex-based research for educational and industrial purposes is booming, and the number of publications is gradually increasing.
