Book Synopsis Restoring Family Unity by : Albert M Pooley
Download or read book Restoring Family Unity written by Albert M Pooley and published by Independently Published. This book was released on 2021-08-06 with total page 276 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: We see disturbing trends in society when one watches the news or scrolls through their social media feed. Divorce, fatherlessness, split families and domestic violence are some of the atrocities which have been the outcome for many years. Albert Pooley saw this trend in his Native American people and wanted to do something to help strengthen their families. He developed the Fatherhood Is Sacred(R) program promoting responsible fatherhood and strengthening individuals and families by laying a strong foundation of a purpose-driven life. Originally this book was written in manual form for Native American fathers and mothers taught by Mr. Pooley who is the founder of Native American Fatherhood and Families Association (NAFFA), located in Mesa, Arizona. As his message of that manual spread all over the country, there were many who wanted to buy the manual without taking the course to get the information. This was not the intent of the manual. To keep the integrity of the original intent of this program, we transformed the information in the manual to teach the principles of what Albert Pooley has taught since 2002 into this book, Restoring Family Unity: The Pathway to Building Strong Family Relationships. Mr. Pooley's ideals of the Creator, Choice, Vision, Teachable, Wisdom and Service are explained here with stories of participants who have benefited from Fatherhood is Sacred(R) and are strengthening their own families. Readers will find Restoring Family Unity: The Pathway to Building Strong Family Relationships inspiring as these principals will have a positive affect and will build relationships that will last forever.

Book Synopsis Restoring the Power of Family by : Jonathan Claussen, MD
Download or read book Restoring the Power of Family written by Jonathan Claussen, MD and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2014-09-22 with total page 179 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Family was created to be powerful. Adam and Eve were commissioned to tend the Garden of Eden, and their children were supposed to reproduce the culture of the Garden over the whole world. Unfortunately, in the Garden we were separated from the Father and family lost its identity, its purpose, and its power. Although we were orphans, the Father never stopped pursuing us, and "when the fullness of time had come," our loving Daddy sent Jesus on a rescue mission. He restored us back into the presence of the Father and to our identity. Family was and still is the Father's plan. The time is now for families to be restored and play a critical role in the "restoration of all things." This book provides key strategies that bring healing to your own heart, to your family relationships, and to the inheritance mindset. The result will be a restoration of power and influence that was your family's destiny from the beginning of time

Book excerpt: This book explores how religious families draw on their spiritual beliefs, religious practices, and faith communities to help them strengthen their marital relationships and their parenting. Using in-depth interviews from eight religious groups – Asian American Christian; Black Christian; Catholic and Orthodox Christian; Evangelical Christian; Jewish; Latter-day Saint; Mainline Protestant; and Muslim – the book uses the interviewees’ own words to show how their religion impacts their lives and influences their relationships. The book also includes an introductory chapter which describes the study and the sample; a conceptual chapter which places the empirical chapters in theoretical context in sociological study of religious families; and a concluding chapter which describes how the editors and authors developed respect and admiration for religious cultures other than their own. Drawing on such a diverse group of religions in America, this book will be of interest to those studying individual religious groups, as well as wider ecumenism and inter-religious dialogue. This book was originally published as a special issue of the Marriage and Family Review.
Book Synopsis The Fulfilled Family by : John F. MacArthur
Download or read book The Fulfilled Family written by John F. MacArthur and published by Thomas Nelson. This book was released on 2008-06-08 with total page 81 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In a world of divorce, casual sex, and homosexual unions, "family"?once the bedrock of our culture?is becoming a matter of uncertainty and argument. From some quarters, traditional roles for men and women are ridiculed. And standing firm in a healthy, well-functioning family is harder than ever. So how can you have a happy home? How can you pass on strong morals to your children in a world going awry? By following God's divine plan for family life," writes Bible teacher, pastor, father, and grandfather John MacArthur in this book. There's no magic formula. There's no gimmick. It's not about how many times you do something, or who is in charge of this or that, or what kind of processes or methods you use. It comes down to answering these questions: "Am I committed to obedience to the Spirit of God? Am I committed to the controlling influences of the Word of God? Am I going to live out a Christian life?" If you can answer yes to all of those questions, then you are bound to have a successful, fulfilled, God-honoring family life.
