He earned his PhD in philosophy at Conan College & Seminary School of Theology. He acquired a Chaplaincy Degree, from the American International Christians Chaplains Association Inc. He also acquired a degree in Domestic Violence Skills Training, from the Joint Commission on Chaplain Accreditation and Education (JCCAE). He is a licensed Master Instructor with (JCCAE). He has served as the administrative Dean for the Conon Bible College & Seminary School of Theology. He is now the Dean for the Gulf Coast College & Seminary School of Ministry at the Macedonia Cathedral Church of God; where he is currently developing a training center that offers courses in domestic violence as well as facilitators and Chaplaincy programs. He has pursued many biblical studies, earning several certificates. Reverend Dr. James A. Gordon has preached dynamically under the auspices of the Holy Spirit throughout Jamaica, the Grand Cayman Islands, the Virgin Islands, England, the United States, Cuba, and other countries around the world.
