With reality TV shows making young wannabes famous by public opinion, the established talent is struggling to cultivate a younger fan base while keeping their own careers viable. Chudamani Amoretto, is a popular fifty-something year old entertainer in the Italian music industry. He struggles to appease the demands of his record label while battling the questions that arise caused by a two-year absence from performing. In this fast-paced industry, his record label believes there’s more to what he is telling them. Enter Danielle Bennet, a young American translator whose colorful wardrobe compensates for her melancholy past. The record label assigns Danielle to Chudamani as his personal translator and teacher of all things American. But feeling the push back from the stubborn entertainer, she must devise a plan to gain his trust. What they realize is that what they see in each other may not be all that different from the battles each is facing internally. The hardships that come with loss always compensate with a light at the end of the tunnel. With the help of friends, family--and each other--they discover the hope of reviving sunshine in their lives.

Download or read book Signs of Resurrection written by Roger Skrenes and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2005-09-13 with total page 143 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is written to show that in our world there are many signs of resurrection. Life beyond death is demonstrated or modeled in many ways within the world around us. This fact should teach us to believe that our death is not an end in itself but rather a new beginning of greater and more certain proportions. It should help us to focus our lives on pleasing the Lord and on trying to be a small pair of His Hands in this present world. By living in such light we can have hope that we will fit into His larger plan - in what we here call Heaven.

Book Synopsis Resurrection of Fort Lupton by : Arnold Hubert
Download or read book Resurrection of Fort Lupton written by Arnold Hubert and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2011-07-19 with total page 111 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Fort Lupton, Colorado, is a beautiful and friendly little farming community of approximately seven thousand five hundred people situated on US Highway 85, about twenty-nine miles north of Denver. It is situated in an area not quite designated as in the foothills, yet not far enough east to say its a plains town either (just somewhere in between). Summers are Rocky Mountain blue sky gorgeous, with spring temperatures ranging from seventy-five to over one hundred degrees in August and September. Wintertime can deal out twenty-four to thirty-six inches of snow or as little as twelve inches. There seems to be an area bordered on the west by Interstate 25, on the east by US 85, and on the south by Interstate 70, which is more arid year after year in more recent times. Rainfall in summers seems to be minimal, so many farmers irrigate their crops. The Fort Lupton area receives more than three hundred days of sunshine every year. I guess that the abundant sunshine is the main reason that I moved to Colorado in the first place.

Book excerpt: Ariami, the daughter of King Tristan of Sarmenia, has aged apart from what should have been a blessed childhood. Although she despises the riches and royalty of her heritage, she is not prepared for the sudden turn her path takes when King Escea of Emphrada seeks to end the blind betrothal between she and his son through her death. Just as she is forced to go into hiding, however, the Emphradian prince escapes both his title and his father's vicious rule to join mere fortnights later with the girl who knows no hatred-who can see some shred of beauty in every trace of the crumbling world around her. But within years of her disappearance, Ami's strange views of life and death begin to twist into impossible phenomena that cannot be explained merely by her faith, which leaves Escea thirsting for her death-and leaves friends and enemies alike fighting to secure their safety should the public turn against her precariously rising power. For many, the only hope is betrayal...to the Emphradian king himself.

He performs the task for something to do, just like the sip he takes from the cup, more for action than thirst. There is nothing unfamiliar about, but he studies the air before his face with intensity. His gaze moves from the checkered oilskin tablecloth to the pale light of the only kitchen window and back again. Through a deep mental fog he sees neither. He is lost in thought. The thump of frying pan on the stove top makes him jump. Rina has come into the kitchen without him even noticing, and is now bustling about the kitchen doing cooking things with a familiar ease and her peculiar habit of humming to herself when pleasantly occupied. Her back is straight, hips full and fi rm, and buttocks tightly packed into the confi nes of denim jeans. With the unnerving second sense of some women, she glances over her shoulder with a knowing smile...
