Are there people without souls? That would explain a lot, wouldn't it? Believe it or not, but the whole of reality can be understood through a proper understanding of eternity, immortality and temporality (mortality). These three terms are inextricably entwined with the concept of soul/mind. There are three possibilities: 1) One eternal mind (God) creates everything else, including immortal souls. This is the Abrahamic position. 2) Everything in the universe is made of individual eternal minds, or of one eternal Mind. This is the position of much of Eastern religion, and also of the Western esoteric tradition. 3) There are no minds at all, whether eternal or immortal, and all that exists is temporal matter, from which temporal minds are inexplicably made, and which perish when their bodies perish. This is the position of atheism and scientism. What kind of soul do you have?

Having withstood the test of time, it is still considered one of the most dynamic and brilliant maps of inner reality available today. “The Seth books present an alternate map of reality with a new diagram of the psyche . . . useful to all explorers of consciousness.” — Deepak Chopra “Seth was one of my first metaphysical teachers. He remains a constant source of knowledge and inspiration in my life.” — Marianne Williamson “I would like to see the Seth books as required reading for anyone on their spiritual pathway. The amazing in-depth information in the Seth books is as relevant today as it was in the early ’70s when Jane Roberts first channeled this material.” — Louise Hay

Book excerpt: On December 21, 2012, the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar, a 5,125-year cycle calendar system pioneered by the Maya, will come to an end. At the same time, the earth, the sun, and the center of the galaxy will come together in an extremely rare cosmic alignment. More and more people believe that the world as we know it will experience a transformation in 2012, but few are aware of the complete history or significance of the date. John Major Jenkins, among the most authoritative voices of the 2012 movement, has written a definitive explanation of one of the most thought-provoking phenomena of our time. Drawing from his own groundbreaking research (including his involvement in the modern reconstruction of Mayan 2012 cosmology) and more than two decades of extensive study of Mayan culture, Jenkins has created the crucial guide to understanding the story of 2012—an essential overview of the history, theory, cultures, and personalities that have brought this extraordinary idea into modern awareness. Jenkins provides illuminating answers to some of the most-asked questions about 2012, including: - How did the early Maya devise the calendar that gives us the cycle ending in 2012, and how does it work? - How did the calendar come to be rediscovered and reconstructed in our era? - What controversies and intrigues surround the topic, and what do scholars and researchers have to say about them? - How can we cut through all the noise about 2012 and gain true wisdom from the Mayan teachings about this moment?

Book excerpt: This book is about hell, its traditional role in the Christian Church and the problems it presents for Christians, both those who believe it and those who don't. Believers in orthodox hell often have an issue with their conscience. Non-believers tend to more readily question the reliability of scripture. "Hell" shows a way we can have both -- accurate scripture and a secure conscience.

Book excerpt: Humans tend to think and react in predetermined ways to trigger words, trigger situations and rituals, though the trigger and the reaction may have no apparent or logical interrelationships whatsoever. Seeing through such conditioned responses is the aim and purpose of this work. Thanks to our long gestation period, human beings are the most conditioned of animals. Though conditioning is very useful in most situations-for example, in learning how to dress-some conditioning, like racism, warps our minds and leads to avoidable conflicts and conflagrations. Author Xavier William believes that this distorted or warped conditioning is evident in many aspects of ordinary life, including: · Economics and politics · Ethics, morals and values · Religions and Superstitions · Traditions and taboos · Alternate medicines · Environmental issues · Sex and family relationships World Religions, True Beliefs And New Age Spirituality seeks to decondition and dewarp our minds from harmful doctrines, dogmas, and Parental and ethnic conditioning. In so doing, William argues, that violence and bloodshed can be significantly reduced or even eradicated. By employing clear-think and self-talk techniques, human beings can steer clear off the ruts of habitual or rhythmic thinking. With the rare insights in World Religions, True Beliefs And New Age Spirituality, people from seemingly incompatible ethnic backgrounds can build win-win relationships and a better world for all.

Book excerpt: This book introduces readers to Abu Bakr al-Razi (known in Latin as Rhazes), one of the most innovative and divisive figures of the early philosophical tradition in the Islamic world. Drawing on his extant works on ethics and a range of quotations and testimony from often hostile medieval authors, Adamson reconstructs Razi's cosmological system, which posits four principles alongside God for the making of the universe: Soul, Matter, Time, and Place. Adamson argues that this system is fundamentally based on Plato, while it accepts Aristotle's physics as a "relative" or superficial description of the universe. This notorious theory of the "five eternals" led to charges of heresy. But through an examination of his debates with contemporary Islamic theologians and representatives of Ismaili Shiism, Adamson shows that Razi's ideas about religion and prophecy may have been distorted by intellectual opponents. Razi's scientific contributions are also considered in depth. One chapter is devoted to the philosophically rewarding aspects of Razi's extensive writings on medicine. His ideas about alchemy are also discussed along with his atomist account of matter. The final chapter looks at Razi's views on ethics, and argues against a prominent interpretation of him as a hedonist inspired by Epicureanism. The book presupposes no prior knowledge of Razi or specialist knowledge of this period in the history of philosophy. It will be rewarding for anyone with an interest in the reception of Greek philosophy, especially Plato, in the history of medicine, or of medieval philosophy more generally.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Anti-Christ Defined I feel that it is important to understanding Satan that we define just what is meant by the word anti-Christ. The word Christ is obvious, it refers to the Savior, the son of God, the God of Creation. The English word anti means, to be against, or in opposition to. The problem is that the word anti as used in the Bible is Greek in its origin, and therefore has a definition with more meaning than the English word. In the Bible Concordance anti-Christos, is defined as: False Christ, Substitute for Christ, Opposite of, reverse, neutralizing, antagonistic. Therefore, the anti-Christ is someone or something that makes you think they are Christ, through false representation, and substitution. This can be illustrated in the Bible with the following verses. The purpose of this book is to reveal Gods True Word, to all who seek to know Gods Truth.

Book excerpt: THERE ARE FEW SUBJECTS IN HUMAN THOUGHT THAT RAISE SUCH STRONG EMOTIONS AS THE AFTERLIFE. What if anything, awaits us after we leave this physical world? Are we reincarnated to try to "get it right" through another life? Do we simply vanish? Do we enter some state of bliss or torment based on our good deeds or lack of them? It seems that there is no end of conjecture offered by human religion and philosophy on this subject. Yet, most of this seems to be nothing more than baseless speculation. As we have no evidence (indeed, we cannot have any physical evidence) of what becomes of us after our physical death, it appears that we have no choice but to pick the idea that is most appealing to us and go with it. It is true enough that we will ultimately pick the idea of the afterlife that we choose to believe to be correct, yet this is a matter of sufficiently great importance to warrant our choosing wisely. The source of information we choose to accept as the correct depiction of the afterlife is one of the most critical decisions we will ever make. While this will ultimately be a matter of belief, we owe it to ourselves to make our choice based on what these sources actually say and not on what we think they say or what others tell us they say. This book is presented as a look at the Bible's teaching on the subject of the afterlife and the choices available to us for an existence after this present life is over. The findings presented in this book are at considerable variance with the teachings of traditional institutional Christian church doctrine and dogma. It is the author's hope that the points presented here will give the reader a different perspective of the biblical view of life, death and afterlife.
