Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The divine principle of unity has ever been that of an inner inter-relationship. This is revealed in some of its earliest stages in the evolution of multicellular life on this planet. The most perfect inward expression has been attained by man in his own body. But what is most important of all is the fact that man has also attained its realization in a jnore subtle body outside his physical system. He misses himself when isolated; he finds his own larger and truer self in his wide human relationship, His multicellular body is born and it dies; his multi-personal humanity is immortal. In this ideal of unity he realizes the eternal in his life and the boundless in his love. The unity becomes not a mere subjective idea, but an energizing truth. Whatever name may be given to it, and whatever form it symbolizes, the consciousness of this unity is spiritual, and our effort to be true to it is our religion. It ever waits to be revealed in our history in a more and more perfect illumination. We have our eyes, which relate to us the vision of the physical universe. We have also an inner faculty of our own which helps us to find our relationship with the supreme self of man, the universe of personality. This faculty is our luminous imagination, which in its higher stage is special to man. It offers us that vision of wholeness which for the biological necessity of physical survival is superfluous; its purpose is to arouse in us the sense of perfection which is our true sense of immortality. For perfection dwells ideally in Man the Eternal, inspiring love for this ideal in the individual, urging him more and more to realize it. This classic is organized as follows: I. Man’s Universe II. The Creative Spirit III. The Surplus in Man IV. Spiritual Union V. The Prophet VI. The Vision VII. The Man of My Heart VIII. The Music Maker IX. The Artist X. Man’s Nature XII. The Teacher XIII. Spiritual Freedom XIV. The Four Stages of Life XV. Conclusion
Book Synopsis The Religion of Man Vs. the Word of God by : D. C. Darr
Download or read book The Religion of Man Vs. the Word of God written by D. C. Darr and published by Tate Publishing. This book was released on 2010-06 with total page 127 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: God gave us His Word to guide us on how we need to live our lives. The problem is, mankind also has free will, and with it comes an ego. In The Religion of Man vs. the Word of God: How Man Makes God Conform to Man's Image, author D. C. Darr has assembled a collection of topics exposing the arrogance of defining God in man's terms. We, as Christians, have become comfortable allowing our religious messengers, philosophers, and interpreters to form our opinion of who God is and what the Bible tells us. In this dangerous comfort zone, we do not question the opinion of our religious leaders, but instead accept it as fact. Discover with author D. C. Darr the serious offenses people have committed using manmade theologies. Find out how the doctrines of religion have led man to create 38,830 Christian denominations and dozens of Bible interpretations. This controversial exposé points out the consequences of blatantly defying God, intending to give readers a better understanding of, and relationship with, our Father in Heaven.

Book Synopsis Common Sense & The Rights of Man by : Thomas Paine
Download or read book Common Sense & The Rights of Man written by Thomas Paine and published by e-artnow. This book was released on 2018-03-21 with total page 987 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This eBook edition of "Common Sense & The Rights of Man" has been formatted to the highest digital standards and adjusted for readability on all devices. Paine's visionary call for republicanism and social welfare was generations ahead of its time when "Rights of Man" was published. According to Paine - Government's sole purpose is safeguarding the individual and his/her inherent, inalienable rights; each societal institution that does not benefit the nation is illegitimate—especially monarchy and aristocracy. Human rights originate in Nature, thus, rights cannot be granted via political charter, because that implies that rights are legally revocable, hence, would be privileges. Common Sense was published anonymously on January 10, 1776, at the beginning of the American Revolution, and became an immediate sensation. Written in clear and persuasive prose, Thomas Paine marshaled moral and political arguments to encourage common people in the Colonies to fight for egalitarian government. It. Common Sense made public a persuasive and impassioned case for independence, which before the pamphlet had not yet been given serious intellectual consideration. He connected independence with common dissenting Protestant beliefs as a means to present a distinctly American political identity, structuring Common Sense as if it were a sermon. Historian Gordon S. Wood described Common Sense as "the most incendiary and popular pamphlet of the entire revolutionary era". Thomas Paine (1737-1809) was an English-American political activist, philosopher, political theorist, and revolutionary. One of the Founding Fathers of the United States, he authored the two most influential pamphlets at the start of the American Revolution, and he inspired the rebels in 1776 to declare independence from Britain. Paine's ideas reflected Enlightenment-era rhetoric of transnational human rights.
