En el contexto descrito, la autora desarrolla un analisis del comportamiento de compra online a partir de una base de datos norteamericana recabada desde el ano 1994 hasta finales de los anos 90 por el Georgia Institute of Technology, adscrito a la Universidad de Georgia Tech. Asi, a traves de una segmentacion Cluster Latente, identifica quienes son los usuarios de internet mas proclives a comprar online, para posteriormente analizar, a traves de modelos de ecuaciones estructurales, los factores determinantes de la satisfaccion con la experiencia de compra y de la fidelidad a un establecimiento virtual.

Para finalizar, se lleva a cabo una revisión de las estrategias de precios en la compra online y las decisiones que el consumidor realiza ante cualquier compra de este tipo. En segundo lugar, se procede a la realización de un estudio empírico para analizar en la práctica los conceptos teóricos revisados y estudiar cómo afectan al consumidor en la compra online. Para concluir, se muestran los resultados y conclusiones obtenidos en la investigación, teniendo en cuenta las limitaciones e implicaciones que se hayan podido producir a lo largo de su desarrollo. A continuación, se expondrán también en el marco teórico los comportamientos de los consumidores con respecto a las nuevas tecnologías, analizando el comportamiento de los individuos y comprendiendo qué es lo que mueve a los consumidores a comprar de manera digital y cómo encuentran la información en este mundo digital, basándose principalmente en la teoría de David L. Rogers. Por último, en esta parte teórica, se van a identificar las distintas variables de segmentación y qué papel cumplen dentro del marketing. También otro apartado específico va a analizar en profundidad a las dos generaciones más interconectadas digitalmente que existen actualmente, la generación Y y la generación Z. Una vez que la parte teórica haya concluido, un estudio, además del análisis del mismo, sobre ambas generaciones, será presentado. Gracias a la realización de una encuesta dirigida expresamente a los integrantes de ambas generaciones, se podrán establecer así una serie de conclusiones relacionadas con cómo se comportan estas generaciones hoy en día, siempre teniendo en cuenta la digitalización. The simulation model that is constructed is a significant improvement over older models, and should prove more useful to agencies and organizations requiring accurate forecasting of auto demand and use for planning and policy development.
