Book excerpt: Often referred to as "The Forgotten War," the Korean War was the only post-World War II combat between major powers. According to evidence provided in this study, it was also a crucial episode of the Cold War--more crucial, perhaps, than the war in Vietnam. This military and political history of the Korean War endeavors to give a fresh and less than fashionable account of the war. Utilizing both immediately postwar impressions and newly available evidence from Communist sources, it places the events in Korea into the larger framework of the early 1950s period of the Cold War. Beginning chapters discuss the escalation of early Cold War-era world events, from the final days of World War II to the first days of the Korean War, and detail the inevitability of Western intervention in the Korean conflict. The chapters that follow supply a broad account of the military aspect of the war, focusing on its "grand strategy," what is now known of the Communist side in Korea, the problems and achievements of the South Korean forces, and the often underestimated war in the air. Considerable attention is also given to matters in Europe and elsewhere, such as German rearmament and the Japanese peace treaty, that are revealed to have been not far removed from Korea. The author espouses several original theories regarding Stalin's interpretation of the Korean conflict as a preliminary phase of World War III and the probability that the Communists did intend to extend the war beyond both the confines of Korea and the armistice negotiations of 1951. Concluding commentary attributes the end of the first phase of the Cold War to the Korean armistice, but the nature of the remaining phases to the polarization of powers that was intensified by the fight for ideological dominance in Korea.

Book excerpt: Offering a terrifying, but very possible scenario of a world on the edge of disaster, this work suggests that World War III has become a real threat. Germany and Japan have gathered military strength; the US has retrenched to make way for economic globalization; the UN is widely discredited and NATO has lost its way. In their place, the bodies controlling the global economic order hold a growing authority in an increasingly unstable world. In this book, the author sets out to demonstrate that World Wars I and II were both preceded by trade disputes, minor conflicts in peripheral zones and vain attempts to reconcile competing interests peacefully. He argues that history is repeating itself, and that the changing balance between the Great Powers, after the collapse of the USSR, have set the conditions for new conflict. He maintains that there is a very real risk that the next flashpoint will ignite to create World War III.

Book excerpt: The US has embarked on a military adventure, "a long war", which threatens the future of humanity. US-NATO weapons of mass destruction are portrayed as instruments of peace. Mini-nukes are said to be "harmless to the surrounding civilian population". Pre-emptive nuclear war is portrayed as a "humanitarian undertaking". While one can conceptualise the loss of life and destruction resulting from present-day wars including Iraq and Afghanistan, it is impossible to fully comprehend the devastation which might result from a Third World War, using "new technologies" and advanced weapons, until it occurs and becomes a reality. The international community has endorsed nuclear war in the name of world peace. "Making the world safer" is the justification for launching a military operation which could potentially result in a nuclear holocaust. Nuclear war has become a multi-billion dollar undertaking, which fills the pockets of US defence contractors. What is at stake is the outright "privatisation of nuclear war". The Pentagon's global military design is one of world conquest. The military deployment of US-NATO forces is occurring in several regions of the world simultaneously. Central to an understanding of war, is the media campaign which grants it legitimacy in the eyes of public opinion. A good versus evil dichotomy prevails. The perpetrators of war are presented as the victims. Public opinion is misled. Breaking the "big lie", which upholds war as a humanitarian undertaking, means breaking a criminal project of global destruction, in which the quest for profit is the overriding force. This profit-driven military agenda destroys human values and transforms people into unconscious zombies. The object of this book is to forcefully reverse the tide of war, challenge the war criminals in high office and the powerful corporate lobby groups which support them.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Author Gary L. Wilson has studied the Bible extensively for many years with the goal of saving the American people and the people in Europe who will be caught in the famine of the Antichrist. In World War III: Nuclear War, he provides Biblical evidence of how to prevent nine possible nuclear wars between the Pentagon and the Antichrist who will use the nuclear arsenals of Russia, the former Soviet nations, and Europe to threaten the world during World War III. Wilson offers an extensive discussion of the political, social, and spiritual implications of the coming warfareand what changes have already happened in Europe to make it possible for the Antichrist to start World War III in AD 2030. He tells the public how to prepare for the coming end times so they can be strong in their faith and look forward to peace with God. He also explains how to decipher the prophetic words and symbols found in the book of Revelation. Filled with ample scriptural evidence, World War III: Nuclear War outlines the instructions of Christ and the Lord God to avoid the impending nuclear wars. Wilson predicts a nuclear attack on Rome in 2030 as told in Revelation 18:4 and 18:19. He also predicts a major nuclear war and nuclear winter as told in Revelation 8:12.

Book excerpt: World War II started when Saturn and Ketu were transiting together in Aries, the first sign of Zodiac in 1939 and in exact conjunction on September 1, 1939. The war escalated during 1940-41 when Jupiter and Saturn were together in the sign Aries and Taurus. In 1945, the war ended when Saturn and Rahu came together in the sign Gemini. After eighty years, we are witnessing similar planetary events during 2019-2025. Saturn and Ketu are conjunct in Sagittarius during 2019-2020. Jupiter and Saturn are together from November 2019 to November 2021 in Sagittarius and Capricorn. Saturn and Rahu are meeting in Pisces, the last sign of the Zodiac during March-April 2025. The astrological community is wondering what these planetary conjunctions will do this time. World War III tries to answer some of the most important questions related to WWIII through analysis of world events in the last two hundred years and ancient astrological principles.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is the first volume of the international relations series "Peace, Security and the World" scheduled to be published before 2025, following the complete works of the "Christianity and the World" series published by the author in 2022.These two series of complete works are a summary of the author's decades of research on international relations. World War III, or WWIII, is the name given to a hypothetical large-scale third World military conflict after World War I and II. Since at least 1941, the expression has been used. Some apply it loosely to limited or minor conflicts, such as the War on Terror or the Cold War. Conversely, others assume that such a conflict would surpass previous world wars in scale and destructive impact. Because of the development of nuclear weapons by the Manhattan Project, which was used in the atomic bombings of Nagasaki and Hiroshima toward the end of World War II, and several nations’ subsequent acquisition and deployment of them, the risk of a nuclear apocalypse decimating civilization and life on earth is a recurring theme in World War III speculation. Another important fear is that biological warfare might lead to many victims. It can occur purposefully or inadvertently, such as the unintended release of a biological agent, an unforeseen mutation of an agent, or its adaption to other species after usage. These large-scale cataclysmic occurrences, produced by sophisticated destruction technologies, can leave the earth’s surface uninhabitable. The years 1914–1918 of World War I was regarded as “the war to end [all] wars” before World War II in 1939. World War I was commonly referred to as “The Great War” during the interwar period. It was widely believed that a global conflict of this magnitude would never happen again. The outbreak of World War II dashed hopes that humanity had “outgrown” the need for full-scale world wars. In 1945, the Cold War began, and with the spread of nuclear weapons technology in the Soviet Union, the possibility of a Third World conflict became more plausible. During the Cold War years, military and civil authorities in many countries anticipated and planned for the possibility of a Third World War. Scenarios included everything from conventional combat to limited or catastrophic nuclear war. Mutual Assured Destruction (MAD) was devised during the Cold War, according to which an all-out nuclear war would destroy all nations involved. The possibility of eradicating humanity may have contributed to American and Soviet leaders’ ability to avoid such a scenario. The most recent major international military conflict, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022, has been noted as a potential flashpoint or catalyst for a third world war.
