This book was released on 1995 with total page 664 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Annotation The July 1994 symposium was an international forum in which scientists working in different research branches connected to nucleosynthesis could discuss the most recent achievements in nuclear astrophysics. The topics addressed range from laboratory work of nuclear astrophysics, especially on reaction rates, to models of nucleosynthesis in single and double stars; from measurements of abundances and isotopic anomalies in pristine meteorites to the reconstruction of the early evolutionary phases of the Solar System; and from optical and radio spectroscopic studies of the composition in stellar atmospheres and circumstellar envelopes to modeling of the global chemical evolution of galaxies. No subject index. Annotation c. by Book News, Inc., Portland, Or.
Book Synopsis Nuclear Physics - Proceedings Of The 15th Workshop by : Jorge Fernandez Niello
Download or read book Nuclear Physics - Proceedings Of The 15th Workshop written by Jorge Fernandez Niello and published by World Scientific. This book was released on 1993-06-28 with total page 350 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The XV Workshop on Nuclear Physics was devoted to the study of nucleon models, nuclear structure, nuclear reactions as well as exotic forms of nuclear matter. In particular, studies of the link between gauge theories and nuclear decay were presented. Nuclear reactions at intermediate energies, highly excited nuclear states, high spin and statistical features of the nucleus were also issues of interest which were analyzed during the Workshop. Avid researchers in this field will find this collection of papers enlightening in the analyses made and almost all-encompassing in its wide exploration of the many pertinent issues which stand at the core of nuclear physics today.

Book Synopsis Strangeness Nuclear Physics - Proceedings Of The Apctp Workshop (Snp '99) by : Il-t Cheon
Download or read book Strangeness Nuclear Physics - Proceedings Of The Apctp Workshop (Snp '99) written by Il-t Cheon and published by World Scientific. This book was released on 2000-09-27 with total page 462 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The unique role of strangeness in nuclear physics has recently attracted much attention, from both the theoretical and experimental viewpoints. This is due not only to the broad spectrum of possible hadron many-body systems with strangeness, but also to the fact that strangeness gives us an opportunity to study fundamental baryon-baryon interactions in a new perspective. Our knowledge of this subject has widened as the scope of hypernuclear experiments has expanded from strangeness exchange and the associated production reactions to hypernuclear weak decays, β decays, cascade hypernuclei, double-Λ events, electroproduction of strangeness, etc. This trend will be accelerated by the full operation of new laboratories such as TJLab, COSY, DAΦNE, JHF, MAMI, and others. Various aspects of those important and exciting topics are discussed in this book in order to get a perspective of this fast developing area of nuclear physics.

Book Synopsis Recent Progress in Many-Body Theories by : Y. Avishai
Download or read book Recent Progress in Many-Body Theories written by Y. Avishai and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 354 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The present volume contains the texts of the invited talks delivered at the Sixth International Conference on Recent Progress in Many-Body Theories held in Arad, Israel during the period November 5-10 1989. The host institute was the Physics Department at the Ben Gurion University of the Negev. Beside the invited talks there have been also two poster sessions. The general format and style of the meeting followed closely those which had preceded it and evolved from the earlier conferences in the series: Trieste 1978, Oxtapec 1981, Altenberg 1983, San Francisco 1985 and Oulu 1987. The conferences in this series are intended to cover the broad spectrum of modem physics related to the many body problem. It starts on the smallest length scales in dealing with quark gluon plasmas and ends on the largest length scales in tackling many body problems in astrophysics. In between, it is concerned with nuclear physics, solid state physics, statistical mechanics, field theory, molecular dynamics, hydrodynamics, chaos, etc. Like in the Oulu conference, special emphasis has been put on recent developments in high Tc superconductivity. Beside the half day session devoted to it we have also organized an evening round table discussion on the future of the whole subject. Furthermore, a new, and in the opinion of the editor a very refreshing element which was absent in earlier conferences was the presentation of a few talks by experimentalists.
