Quando aplicada a clone em etapas avancadas de avaliacao, aumenta a possibilidade de as novas variedades serem adaptadaspelos produtores, alem de que a inclusao destas no processo de selecaode variedades da origem a um intercambio de informacao valioso, ja queas necessidades/preferencias dos agricultores sao levadas em conta, factor este de grande importancia. Do mesmo modo foram identificados aqueles que se podem considerar como os criterios que o agricultor considera mais importantes numa variedade, possibilitando definir-se aquilo que se podera considerar uma variedade de mandioca ideal.
