Book excerpt: This book offers a critique of common spiritual warfare practices including binding Satan, renouncing curses, spiritual mapping and exorcisms. Using Scripture, and Scripture alone, Pastor Jim Osman shows that true spiritual warfare is not a battle over territory, but a battle for the truth. The book is divided into four sections: Establishing Biblical Principles, Exposing Unbiblical Practices, Explaining Biblical Perspectives and Examining a Biblical Passage. A biblical approach to spiritual warfare recognizes the Bible as the sole authority, rejects unbiblical and man-made methods, and rests in Christ and His finished work for victory. Many in the modern spiritual warfare movement teach a methodology of spiritual warfare that is more akin to something you would find in a Harry Potter novel (renouncing curses and using prayer mantras to seize territory) than anything described in Scripture. Many of these practices reflect a theology built on anecdotes, experience, and interviews with demons rather than a sound exegesis of Scripture. Footnoted quotations of authors like Mark Bubeck, Neil T. Anderson, and others are compared against Scripture to show that modern spiritual warfare "experts" have abandoned the authority of Scripture and opted for man-made methods to wage spiritual battle. The chapters include a study of the three enemies that every Christian faces: the world, the flesh, and the devil. Pastor Osman answers from Scripture the questions: Can a Christian be demon-possessed? Is Christ's authority ours? and, What about exorcisms? One chapter includes a helpful discussion of the link between spiritual warfare and a believer's sanctification. The foreword is written by international conference speaker Justin Peters (justinpeters.org). This book is being published as an e-book as a fundraiser to finish the new church building of Kootenai Community Church (www.kootenaichurch.org) of which Jim is one of the pastors. All the proceeds go the building fund for the completion of that project. You can see regular updates at http: //www.truthorterritory.com .

Book excerpt: In Subversive Spirituality Peterson has gathered together a host of writings penned over the past twenty-five years that reflect on the overlooked facets of the spiritual life. Comprising occasional pieces, short biblical studies, poetry, pastoral readings, and interviews, this work captures the epiphanies of life with the pleasing pastoral style and inspiring depth of insight for which Peterson is well known. Peterson describes his book this way: "This gathering of articles and essays, poems and conversations, is a kind of kitchen midden of my noticings of the obvious in the course of living out the Christian life in the vocational context of pastor, writer, and professor. The randomness and repetitions and false starts are rough edges that I am leaving as is in the interests of honesty. Spirituality is not, by and large, smooth. I do hope, however, that these pieces will be found to be freshly phrased".

What is righteousness?" and have not found the answer through traditional activities like going to church, this Bible study guide is for you. Without a proper understanding of His teachings, you are unable to live the righteous life God planned for you — making it much easier to succumb to a life of sin. Sometimes, it takes times of great adversity for a person to be stripped of these illusions of God that traditional spiritual practices create. Denise Snow, author of "Seeking Truth," has gone through tremendous challenges and her eyes have been opened to things of God. She has heard the voice of God and is now sharing how you can open yourself to God's will to live a life of happiness and success. Too many people fall for the false image of God which prevents them from seeing who He truly is and hearing His voice in their lives. Seek and You Shall Find This guide is meant to be your companion in discovering the Bible so that you may live your life in accordance with God's word and teachings. Appropriately entitled "Seeking Truth," this book is for the seeker in all of us. Man is too imperfect for us to rely on other people's interpretation of the bible as truth. Let this book inspire you to open your eyes to the message of God's love in the scripture. Through this book, anyone can learn how to make sense of scripture. It offers: A question-and-answer Bible study frameworkA user-friendly guide that tackles the Bible verse by verseA specific focus on the Old Testament for a more in-depth understanding Returning to Genesis The book of Genesis is much richer than you might think. Genesis is remembered by children for its wondrous stories of creation, God's power, and man's original sin. However, this understanding of the first book of the Bible may be riddled with false interpretations influenced by traditional institutions. This guide starts by returning to Genesis to take you on a journey of truth and discovery, free of the false notions.

Book excerpt: As the journey of "The Spiritual Truth, a Guide into all Truth," continues in 2020, my third guide book delves into the Truths of the many Prophecies pertaining to these last years, months and days of this Age, and with the evil influence/influenza/corona virus travelling throughout the four corners of the Earth-Plane taking countless lives as May 2020 comes to an end, meaning Prophecy of Pestilence and Plagues are very real indeed, especially if you add in the vast swarms of locusts ravaging large parts of Africa and Asia, which will bring with it widespread famine for those Nations. Many parts of the Earth-Plane are still experiencing lock down conditions due to the corona virus, which is true with me in Northern Ireland as I write, though some restrictions are slowly being lifted, which I believe is to soon, but I suppose with so many losing their jobs, money, homes, freedom etc...something has to give in the end because in this world it is profit before people. Some foolish Nations are opening up in full again long before this evil influence/influenza travelling throughout the four corners of this Earth-Plane has finished taking lives. When a second wave comes, and it will, if lock downs are introduced again throughout the Earth-Plane, along with them will come a wave of unrest and possible Marshall Law or curfews, because Nations and their peoples are restless with their lives and freedom being disrupted, even though it was and is for their own good, but earthly human beings of self know best.America have now recorded 100,000 deaths through the corona virus because of their leader without Wisdom, President Trump, who even suggested injecting bleach into corona virus patients to clean them out.Now America is open again, in full.Brazil's leader, Jair Bolsonaro called the corona virus a little flu, which is proof of another world leader without Wisdom, our Heavenly Mother, the female Ruach Ha-Kodesh/Holy Spirit/Ruh al-Qudus as their guide.Earthquakes in various places will become more frequent and powerful, with Elam/Iran possibly feeling Mother Nature's power, which would see the West of Iran/Elam being rendered useless, with damage to her nuclear plants, which sees her people scatter into other Nations as the Prophet Jeremiah revealed many moons ago.The we have the coming Middle-East war between Israel and 10 Arab Nations who decide foolishly to take on God's chosen people for the very purpose of fulfilling ancient Prophecy. There are around 9 million earthly human beings living in Israel today in 2020, and the confederacy of Arab Nations will be almost 170 million earthly human beings, if they all fought, but millions will join the fight against Israel in the hope of destroying her once and for all. This will not happen dear brothers and sisters for the Divine Council above will step in to help little Israel, as in many times before, as history recent and ancient reveals.Israel always pulls through all attempts to wipe her and her people of the face of the Earth, and against mighty Nations at times. So watch little Israel, Syria, Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon in these latter years, months and days and do not let the evil influence/influenza/corona virus cloud your minds from the Big Picture going on pertaining to wars and rumours of wars. The end of this Age is coming, so look up, for your redemption is near."And Wisdom is vindicated by Her children."San Dom de Nanta van san Nantess estanto?Aunidan

Book excerpt: NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • From one of the world’s most influential spiritual thinkers, a long-awaited book exploring what it means that Jesus was called “Christ,” and how this forgotten truth can restore hope and meaning to our lives. “Anyone who strives to put their faith into action will find encouragement and inspiration in the pages of this book.”—Melinda Gates In his decades as a globally recognized teacher, Richard Rohr has helped millions realize what is at stake in matters of faith and spirituality. Yet Rohr has never written on the most perennially talked about topic in Christianity: Jesus. Most know who Jesus was, but who was Christ? Is the word simply Jesus’s last name? Too often, Rohr writes, our understandings have been limited by culture, religious debate, and the human tendency to put ourselves at the center. Drawing on scripture, history, and spiritual practice, Rohr articulates a transformative view of Jesus Christ as a portrait of God’s constant, unfolding work in the world. “God loves things by becoming them,” he writes, and Jesus’s life was meant to declare that humanity has never been separate from God—except by its own negative choice. When we recover this fundamental truth, faith becomes less about proving Jesus was God, and more about learning to recognize the Creator’s presence all around us, and in everyone we meet. Thought-provoking, practical, and full of deep hope and vision, The Universal Christ is a landmark book from one of our most beloved spiritual writers, and an invitation to contemplate how God liberates and loves all that is.

Book excerpt: Strange as it may sound, NOTHING in life is more important than preparing for what follows it. These mortal bodies of ours end up in the grave before very long, but the spirit continues on forever. And it is the spirit that is the essence of a person; the body being merely a temporary vessel to contain it. Even though the typical human lifespan these days is only in the range of 70 to 100 years, most effort is primarily focused on what to do with that short and quickly-passing time. What follows it is often largely ignored. If things are put in the proper perspective, weighing 70 years versus forever, it becomes shockingly clear that long-term planning should be the greater priority. Yet, because the whole idea can seem so vague, irrelevant to the day, and elusive to the grasp, many put off taking charge of the situation. They ask, "Does the human spirit really exist forever?" "Does it really matter today what happens to me after I die?" What can I possibly do now that might even matter then!? In Essential Spiritual Truth you will find the knowledge and guidance you need to get moving in the right direction. Whether you have relegated this unshakeable, personal responsibility to the back burner, or have been actively seeking answers, this book will provide substance to the spiritual realm. The way to begin is simple, yet it has been lost over time because the big picture has been terribly distorted. The truth of what is required cannot be found in blindly following religious rituals; neither can it be found in following man-made theories and strategies. Rather, the Creator Himself has both fashioned and revealed His master plan. In this book you will begin to understand both Him and His plans, and how they apply to you personally. Here, in Essential Spiritual Truth, you can focus your world view with the lens of God. Be wise and persistent in following through, and you will find that you have done even more than begun to shape your spiritual destiny; you also will have vastly improved your life for today. If you are not absolutely certain of what's going to happen to you after your body dies, and you want to change that, get your copy now.
