Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A funny thing happens to you when you get older. Maybe for the first time in your life you think about your mortality. With that newfound realization of the impermanence of human life, you might think about your actual mortal soul. In the last few years I have had that particular realization as have many others, I am sure, who also realized they had wasted their youth in the singular pursuit of pleasure and selfishness. I have even had the effrontery to let hurl from my mouth the outright denial of the existence of an all-powerful and forgiving God. With my acceptance of Jesus Christ as my personal savior and my attempts to align myself with the apparent will of God, I have moved on to an exploration and learning experience of scripture. I am a poet and am compelled to write about my experience and what I've learned. I am hoping that this book is acceptable in the eyes of my God. While many of these poems are influenced by the religious writings of thousands of years past, others are from my own personal inspiration and revelations. I hope you the reader will appreciate at least some of my work. It is the best I have to offer God and the reading public. I hope that both find it pleasing.

Book excerpt: Ron Lavin says that we desperately need to re-examine and return to the basics of the Christian faith -- and what better source of inspiration is there than the word of God and the sacraments, God's holy pipelines from heaven? In the latest installment of his popular Another Look series, Lavin explores God's Word, baptism, and communion, and demonstrates that far from being meaningless rituals, they are extremely relevant for modern living. Weaving together time-tested biblical truths with a series of vignettes about Grace Livingstone, a fictional character who is a typical church "outsider," Lavin illustrates how faithful proclamation of the Word and celebration of the sacraments can be effective tools for evangelism and outreach. The ups and downs of Grace's life, and her need for the Word and sacraments, are sure to resonate with you. Structured in three four-session sets, Saving Grace is an ideal group study resource -- each chapter includes a "digging deeper" section plus stimulating discussion questions, and there are tips to assist small group leaders. Saving Grace is also great for new member or adult Sunday school classes, personal meditation, and sermon preparation. Ron Lavin's passion for the Word of God and zeal to reach humanity with the truth that Jesus is alive is a source of inspiration and hope. In Saving Grace, Lavin takes us back to the basics of our biblical and confessional heritage and shows us the interrelationship between what we confess and how we live. Robert Wallace Director for Evangelism Evangelical Lutheran Church in America Saving Grace is the story of one lonely heart's journey from uncertainty and fear into the warm comfort offered by God. Follow Grace Livingstone as she receives a gentle welcome into God's love. Saving Grace is a unique, insightful guide for those interested in helping others become part of God's community. Barbara Coulson President, Southern California Writers Association Ron Lavin is the award-winning author of 19 books, including Turning Griping Into Gratitude and Way To Grow! (CSS). Book excerpt: Bible scholars argue about when Jesus will return. God has a perfect plan and a perfect timing for that plan. Many believers hold the opinion that God has delayed the 2nd coming of Jesus so that every last person has a chance to make the decision for redemption. The premise of this book is to ask the questions; “What if God is waiting for one particular “Last Person” to ask for their redemption? What if that person is a Girl named Grace and is she is the target of Satan’s dark legions? Will she turn to God before Satan can end her life? Will God give up on her and draw history to a close?”

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Each week thousands of Christians will sing "Amazing Grace" at church, paying lip service to one of the most phenomenal aspects of Christianity, yet walking away untouched by its magnitude. They pay mental assent to the concept, but their hearts are untouched. In the author's words, "God's grace is amazing, abundant, free, and available. So why is spiritual famine an epidemic both inside and outside the church? Because although we've come to Christ by recognizing grace, few of us have carried it along as essential equipment on the Christian path. . . . God never promised a pain-free life, but he did promise that his grace is all we need in our search for peace and fulfillment." Breathing Graceis a unique look at a topic that stands at the very core of the Christian faith. Dr. Harry Kraus, best-selling author and practicing surgeon, reveals the gospel of grace through a series of medical metaphors, predominantly the physiology of our need for and utilization of oxygen. The clinical flavor of the book brings to life a subject that many Christians have failed to grasp and incorporate into their daily lives, illustrating our need, God's provision, and the moment-by-moment inflow and exhalation of grace to a starving world. Breathing Graceincludes study questions for group and individual use.

True life for the follower of Jesus really is a moment-by-moment trust that God is dependable and fulfills his promises. This is living by faith in future grace, which provides God's mercy, provision, and wisdom—everything we need—to accomplish his good plans for us. In Future Grace, chapter by chapter—one for each day of the month—Piper reveals how cherishing the promises of God helps break the power of persistent sin issues like anxiety, despondency, greed, lust, bitterness, impatience, pride, misplaced shame, and more. Ultimate joy, peace, and hope in life and death are found in a confident, continual awareness of the reality of future grace.

Book excerpt: "Grace" is a word that surfaces often in conversations about fellowship with God-and rightly so. If it were not for God's grace, no one would have any hope in overcoming the problem of sin and all the trouble it brings. All people desperately need saving grace in order to walk in fellowship with the Lord of light, love, and holiness. But just because people talk about "grace" does not mean they understand what it is, why it is necessary, and what it is supposed to do for them (or, what they are supposed to do with it). Many people, Christians and non-Christians alike, have a very limited knowledge of this fascinating gift of God-and this limitation does not serve anyone's best interest. The Gospel of Saving Grace is devoted to explaining, exploring, and expounding upon "grace" and many of its heavenly facets. The purpose for this is to give every reader a far better-and, in many cases, a far more biblical-understanding of grace in their relationship with the Lord. God wants us to "draw near" to Him: it is by grace that we do this, and it is Christ who gives life to grace.

Book excerpt: Grace. We use the word often. We "say grace" before meals. "There but for the Grace of God go I." But do we know what it is? Do we fully understand the many dimensions of how Grace works? For many, the answer is "not really." Hence, Grace: A Workbook. Dr. Clark brilliantly incorporates the theology of Grace with the psychology of every day experiences, always focusing on the core of the Gospel. Grace: A Workbook is an invaluable tool to help us become the dynamic people that God has planned for us to be. It is a one-of-a-kind workbook written with a deep passion for the excitement of God's love and Grace. At the end, readers will come out with a fresh sense of Grace, as well as a fresh look at themselves and what we can become through the power of Grace. The goals of Grace: A Workbook, - To gain an in-depth understanding of Grace in an easy-to-read, easy-to-understand interactive format; This Workbook came about as a result of teaching for a year on Grace in her adult Sunday school class. In preparation, she read many excellent books about Grace. However, she realized that many people, because of their life experiences, may have confusion and/or uncertainty about how to incorporate Grace into their daily lives. Thus, these "lessons" were conceived. Each week in her class, as the lessons challenged the students to comprehend the power of God's love and Grace, they left feeling uplifted and excited to live their lives with a deeper faith and purpose in their Christian walk. Grace: A Workbook is interactive. It can have great benefit for someone to use individually, or, even more so, in a group setting. "Dr. Mary Clark knows from her personal journey, as well as from her vast clinical experience, how damaging it is to live under a veil of shame, law, and fear of punishment. Unfortunately, all too often, that is the crippling message conveyed by the church. Grace-A Workbook is a fragrant and thoroughly practical breath of fresh theological air, reconnecting us to the true heart of our gracious Father and his radically loving Son! Dr. Clark brings us not only the "grace insights" of a veteran Bible student but also compellingly addresses how grace can heal our brokenness, past and present. Thank you, Mary, for lifting up God's spectacular, unbelievable, life-giving unmerited favor!" -J. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Popular Bible teacher and host of the Gospel Truth broadcast, Andrew Wommack takes on one of the biggest controversies of the church, the freedom of God's grace verses the faith of the believer. Wommack reveals that God's power is not released from only grace or only faith. God's blessings come through a balance of both grace and faith. Addressing many of the misconceptions believers are taught in the Church today, this book opens up the Scriptures revealing the vital connection between grace and faith. Many believers think they walk in both grace and faith when actually they are misusing one or both of these principles. Wommack addresses: * Some believers willingly sin believing Gods grace will cover them, while the blessing of grace is not to sin, but to release guilt and condemnation when they make a mistake. * Other believers think they must "work" their faith by ritualistic prayer, confession, or Bible study. Although all these things are good, Jesus Christ set believers free from works of the law. God wants a relationship where He can communicate directly to each believer. * Grace and faith work together. When believers receive the unmerited favor or grace of God, they can release their faith without doubt or reservation and receive God's blessings. Andrew Wommack in his logical, practical style brings believers back on track in their Christian walk through living in the balance of grace and faith.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is about salvation by God's grace. If you were to ask the average Christian if he believed in salvation by grace, most would respond with an emphatic, "Yes." I know because I have asked people from many Christian faiths and each response has been in the affirmative. Why wouldn't it be? It would be an insult to God to suggest otherwise - "Yes, I believe that salvation is by grace." But when you ask them to explain grace, things get a little fuzzy. Their answers are very different. In other words, there are various attachments to their concept of what salvation by grace really is - how they, personally, were saved by grace. These attachments include reading the sinner's prayer, the waters of baptism, accepting Jesus, reciting some words, going down the Roman road, or participating in a church ritual. Yes, something is usually attached to the concept of what most Christians refer to as, "salvation by grace." Many Christians have realized that there are glaring differences among Christian churches concerning what is required for salvation, and the different explanations to salvation by grace. They realize that those who read the sinner's prayer didn't accept Jesus as the others did. The ones that accepted Jesus did not read the sinner's prayer. Those who relied on their baptism put no confidence in the other two. Yet, they all say they were saved by grace. Most of us have heard some very humorous stories about these glaring differences and which group is really going to heaven: "The Baptists are in one room and they think they are the only ones up here. Don't tell them the Methodists are down the hall." So, what I am saying is nothing new for most believers. They realize there are many different concepts concerning salvation by grace. Is anyone right, or is everyone right? In my personal experience I was in that category. I came to the same conclusion as many others have: it really doesn't matter which thing you did, as long as a person is sincere and did something, heaven is yours. No one is really right. We won't know who is right till we get to heaven and look in all the rooms. Yet, there was a tinge of unrest in my own soul - am I in the right room down here? But we don't have to wait till we get to heaven and look in all the rooms. Nor do we have to live with unrest in our own soul. There is a lens through which we may look and see how people from various Christian faiths, who have done different things to be saved, are really saved in exactly the same way. That lens is something we all know. It is God's amazing grace and it is manifested all over the Bible. This brings peace. That is the purpose of this book, to look at grace in the face of a loving Savior, Jesus Christ. He is a successful Savior. He saved His people and ...they are saved. I hope to expose God's grace in its original manifestation. I also hope to expose God's everlasting covenant, made between the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit - a much neglected topic in our modern Christian arena. I want you to see grace in the same way that Paul and the other apostles believed it...and preached it. But more importantly, I want you to experience it. That is my prayer for you.The debate among Christians is not, "Did all of humanity fall in Adam?" Every knowledgeable Christian believes that. The debate lies in a more defined proposition: "How far did man fall?" Many have placed election in Pandora's box and never open it. Every Christian that I have ever met agrees with Jesus when He said: "Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again." (John 3:7) They all agree - you must be born again to go to heaven. But how this new birth takes place varies among Christians. Thankfully, God is faithful to regenerate all of His elect...even those who are at odds with Him on how it is done.
