Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A market beating method for finding success in trading stocks Value is a concept that frequently eludes investors -- especially when it comes to stocks. In many cases, successfully identifying value can make the difference between picking a winner and getting burned. The Value Connection offers a systematic and doable method investors can use to take advantage of value in the stock market. Based on author Marc Gerstein's "Value Connection" method, this book will show investors how to find potentially attractive value connections, analyze specific situations to see if the value connection is sound, buy the best value connected opportunities, and sell stocks for which the value connection has weakened. The proven four-step method outlined -- which allows investors to understand the relationship between a company and its stock -- will help any investor screen the stock market for the best values out there. Real world examples make understanding this revolutionary investing method easy. Marc H. Gerstein (New York, NY) is the Director of Investment Research at Multex. Prior to that, he was in the research and editorial department at Value Line. Over the course of two decades he analyzed stocks across a wide variety of industries and sectors, including household products, specialty retail, restaurants, mining, energy, hotel/gaming, homebuilding, airlines, railroads, and media. Gerstein appears periodically on CNNfn, Bloomberg TV, and is often quoted in USA Today, CBS MarketWatch, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Daily News, and Money Online. He is also the author of Screening the Market (0-471-21559-7).

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Connection Value is a book that delves into the psychological value necessary to foster inner harmony, allowing the heart to manifest the divine energy of unconditional love through the mind. This is a contemporary interpretation of what was traditionally referred to as “The Holy Spirit”. It is the physical transformation brought about by the Kundalini Awakening, which balances energy within and initiates a profound connection activation within the self. Through The Connection Value, readers are invited to let go of past traumas and release themselves from the burdens of conditioning, personal struggles, and generational trauma that weigh on their souls. The book encourages readers to turn inward and seek their own inner peace, rather than seeking salvation or rewards outside of themselves. This is a compelling and thought-provoking call to action for humanity to pay attention to the transformative power that lies within each of us. The Connection Value is a powerful tool for healing and growth, and an inspiration for those seeking a more connected and fulfilling life.

This book was released on 2023-12-14 with total page 9 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Beyond Currency: The Value Of Human Connections is a book by spiritual Guru Sasi Krishnasamy that explores the importance of human relationships in a world that often measures success by money. The book challenges the conventional wisdom that money is the ultimate source of happiness and satisfaction, and instead argues that the true value of life lies in the quality and depth of our connections with others. The book draws on examples from Indian culture, where the concept of paisa vasool (value for money) is not only about getting the most out of what we pay for, but also about finding extra value in every interaction, whether it is with a friend, a stranger, or a vendor. The book also examines the role of money in society, and how it can be used as a medium of relationship, rather than a tool of exploitation. The book aims to inspire readers to reflect on what truly matters to them, and to seek a world where value extends beyond currencyIn a world that frequently equates success and importance with financial wealth, it's essential to reflect on what truly matters. While money is undoubtedly significant for our daily needs and desires, it is not the sole barometer of a fulfilling life. In this essay, we explore the second most important thing after money in the world, which many would argue is the richness of human connections.

This book was released on 2011-12-02 with total page 473 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This introductory and self-contained book gathers as much explicit mathematical results on the linear-elastic and heat-conduction solutions in the neighborhood of singular points in two-dimensional domains, and singular edges and vertices in three-dimensional domains. These are presented in an engineering terminology for practical usage. The author treats the mathematical formulations from an engineering viewpoint and presents high-order finite-element methods for the computation of singular solutions in isotropic and anisotropic materials, and multi-material interfaces. The proper interpretation of the results in engineering practice is advocated, so that the computed data can be correlated to experimental observations. The book is divided into fourteen chapters, each containing several sections. Most of it (the first nine Chapters) addresses two-dimensional domains, where only singular points exist. The solution in a vicinity of these points admits an asymptotic expansion composed of eigenpairs and associated generalized flux/stress intensity factors (GFIFs/GSIFs), which are being computed analytically when possible or by finite element methods otherwise. Singular points associated with weakly coupled thermoelasticity in the vicinity of singularities are also addressed and thermal GSIFs are computed. The computed data is important in engineering practice for predicting failure initiation in brittle material on a daily basis. Several failure laws for two-dimensional domains with V-notches are presented and their validity is examined by comparison to experimental observations. A sufficient simple and reliable condition for predicting failure initiation (crack formation) in micron level electronic devices, involving singular points, is still a topic of active research and interest, and is addressed herein. Explicit singular solutions in the vicinity of vertices and edges in three-dimensional domains are provided in the remaining five chapters. New methods for the computation of generalized edge flux/stress intensity functions along singular edges are presented and demonstrated by several example problems from the field of fracture mechanics; including anisotropic domains and bimaterial interfaces. Circular edges are also presented and the author concludes with some remarks on open questions. This well illustrated book will appeal to both applied mathematicians and engineers working in the field of fracture mechanics and singularities.

Based on extensive research and analytics, plus years of proven success in the field, the Business Chemistry framework provides a simple yet powerful way to identify meaningful differences between people’s working styles. Who seeks possibilities and who seeks stability? Who values challenge and who values connection? Business Chemistry will help you grasp where others are coming from, appreciate the value they bring, and determine what they need in order to excel. It offers practical ways to be more effective as an individual and as a leader. Imagine you had a more in-depth understanding of yourself and why you thrive in some work environments and flounder in others. Suppose you had a clearer view on what to do about it so that you could always perform at your best. Imagine you had more insight into what makes people tick and what ticks them off, how some interactions unlock potential while others shut people down. Suppose you could gain people’s trust, influence them, motivate them, and get the very most out of your work relationships. Imagine you knew how to create a work environment where all types of people excel, even if they have conflicting perspectives, preferences and needs. Suppose you could activate the potential benefits of diversity on your teams and in your organizations, improving collaboration to achieve the group’s collective potential. Business Chemistry offers all of this--you don’t have to leave it up to chance, and you shouldn’t. Let this book guide you in creating great chemistry!

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Some say that private law ought to correct wrongs or to protect rights. Others say that private law ought to maximise social welfare or to minimise social cost. In this book, Emmanuel Voyiakis claims that private law ought to make our responsibilities to others depend on the opportunities we have to affect how things will go for us. Drawing on the work of HLA Hart and TM Scanlon, he argues that private law principles that require us to bear certain practical burdens in our relations with others are justified as long as those principles provide us with certain opportunities to choose what will happen to us, and having those opportunities is something we have reason to value. The book contrasts this 'value-of-choice' account with its wrong- and social cost-based rivals, and applies it to familiar problems of contract and tort law, including whether liability should be negligence-based or stricter; whether insurance should matter in the allocation of the burden of repair; how far private law should make allowance for persons of limited capacities; when a contract term counts as 'unconscionable' or 'unfair'; and when tort law should hold a person vicariously liable for another's mistakes.
