Other long held cornerstones of the establishment are also challenged such as the gender and sexuality of God. The Big-Bang is used as a source for creation and understanding the composition of God, Divine Beings (Angels and Demons) as well as Heaven, Hell, and Creation. The relationship between the Divine and Humanity is also completely redefined. As with all of the B.E.R. books, the discussion is candid and groundbreaking. Book excerpt: PART 1, delves deep into the Abrahamic Covenant and uses it, rather than the Messianic Covenant, to interpret the Old Testament. This singular change reveals an intriguing perspective with the hope of generating peace and love between Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. The viewpoint is a direct challenge the mainstream beliefs of Christianity, Islam, and Judaism. With the discussion of Islam, the author's perspective of the Quran is used as an intrical part of the prophecy, rather than as an opposing viewpoint. The discussion is candid and in-depth. Specifically, related to the Jewish Palestinian Conflict as well as the War on Terror. PART 2, looks at the Bible through the eyes of the Levitical Covenant. Striking differences are revealed between God's covenant to Moses and His covenant with Aaron. At the same time, unexpected unions are discovered between the Levitical Covenant and the covenants of Cain, Canaan's, Esau's, and others. Biblical references are abundant for each conclusion.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: As primitive civilization developed, society has established cornerstones in our thought and reasoning. Things we are told repeatedly as fact from birth and are thus believed instinctively. Many of these cornerstones now date back many millennia such as the Bible. The BER Series takes a candid look into the Bible to explore how the theological beliefs within Institutional Religion have affected society in diabolical ways. These books also challenge the church's theological cornerstones to prove that they deviate from the Bible and truly have an obscured understanding of the Divine. Thus, the goal is to bring an overdue debate to organized religion. The hope is to remove the barriers that deny humanity the evolution of our species. No topic is out of bounds. A person could listen to ten lifetimes of sermons and never get even a fraction of the candor of these books. Love them or hate them, you will be unable to put them down and you will never see the World or the Divine the same way again.

The prophets absent in Kings and Chronicles (such as Joel, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, etc.) has been inserted into the text. Because several lost works exist through this time (such as the prophecies of Iddo, Ahijah, Jehu, etc.) the author as pieced together their testimony in accordance with the day, age, and existing historical evidence. Artist license has been used to fill these gaps as well to show how all the individual pieces fit together. The book goes into the grit that the traditional politically correct religious establishment avoids at all cost, such as the sexual realities of the foreign religions that bordered Israel as well as glimpses into the logic of the other side of the argument so that one may understand why it was so difficult for the people to follow the Divine. Captivating and full of hidden turns, once you open the book you will never see the Bible the same way again.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: For Christians, the issues raised by the different views on creation and evolution are challenging. Can a "young earth" be reconciled with a universe that appears to be billions of years old? Does scientific evidence point to a God who designed the universe and life in all its complexity? Three Views on Creation and Evolution deals with these and similar concerns as it looks at three dominant schools of Christian thought. Proponents of young earth creationism, old earth creationism, and theistic evolution each present their different views, tell why the controversy is important, and describe the interplay between their understandings of science and theology. Each view is critiqued by various scholars, and the entire discussion is summarized by Phillip E. Johnson and Richard H. Bube. The Counterpoints series provides a forum for comparison and critique of different views on issues important to Christians. Counterpoints books address two categories: Church Life and Bible and Theology. Complete your library with other books in the Counterpoints series.

In The God of Evolution, Denis Edwards tackles hard questions about the relationship between contemporary science and Christian faith. By examining traditional Christian concepts through the prism of evolutionary thought, Edwards opens up new ways of thinking about the nature of God and the universe."--BOOK JACKET.Title Summary field provided by Blackwell North America, Inc. Book excerpt: Theological Anthropology at the Beginning of the Third Millennium is the third volume of the Theology at the Beginning of the Third Millennium series. Bringing together Catholic and Orthodox scholars of diverse disciplines, this work sheds new light on the question "what does it mean to be a human person?" Beginning with an overview on the state of the discipline in our time, the book brings theological anthropology into dialogue with epistemology, Christology, science, spiritual theology, and pedagogy. It explores how human persons--who are created in God's image and likeness--can come to knowledge of the self and the other, such that the individual person can know, love, and be united to the God and Father of Jesus Christ.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This title offers a comprehensive analysis of Baptist theology. Embracing in one common trajectory the major Baptist confessions of faith, the major Baptist theologians, and the principal Baptist theological movements and controversies, this book spans four centuries of Baptist doctrinal history. Acknowledging first the pre-1609 roots (patristic, medieval, and Reformational) of Baptist theology, it examines the Arminian versus Calvinist issues that were first expressed by the General Baptists and the Particular Baptists; that dominated English and American Baptist theology during the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries from Helwys and Smyth and from Bunyan and Kiffin to Gill, Fuller, Backus, and Boyce; and, that were quickened by the 'awakenings' and the missionary movement. Concurrently there were the Baptist defense of the Baptist distinctives vis-a-vis the pedobaptist world and the unfolding of a strong Baptist confessional tradition. Then during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries the liberal versus evangelical issues became dominant with Hovey, Strong, Rauschenbusch, and Henry in the North and Mullins, Conner, Hobbs, and Criswell in the South even as a distinctive Baptist Landmarkism developed, the discipline of biblical theology was practiced and a structured ecumenism was pursued. Missiology both impacted Baptist theology and took it to all the continents, where it became increasingly indigenous. Conscious that Baptists belong to the free churches and to the believers' churches, a new generation of Baptist theologians at the advent of the twenty-first century appears somewhat more Calvinist than Arminian and decidedly more evangelical than liberal.

Book excerpt: Did God create the universe? If so, who created him? The Atheist's Bible tackles these complex and important ancient mysteries. With the discoveries of modern science, author Geoff Linsley offers a new look at the questions most philosophers throughout history have thought unanswerable. Mysteries such as "Why does the universe exist as it does?" and "When did it come about?" are thought to be demystified by modern science. Mixing scientific knowledge with common sense, Linsley answers these questions in an easy-to-understand dialogue. The Atheist's Bible compiles the case for an atheistic universe in a thorough discussion, provides facts that science has gathered about existence, and creates a new view of the nature of the universe. Linsley searched through scientific discussions of how nature operates, through religious wisdom, and through topics thought to be paranormal to present the first complete theory regarding the origin and evolution of existence and humanity. A collection of several books with individual purposes, The Atheist's Bible furthers the understanding of reality and helps to overcome the fear of the unknown. Linsley challenges the realm of theism and looks outside of it to explain how the universe functions. "The depth of research and the volume of information given make this book exceptional. Linsley treats faith respectfully and doesn't get into baseless arguments against views that oppose his own. This book is well written, very informational, and entertaining." -- Foreward CLARION Review
