Book excerpt: BLACK-AND-WHITE EDITION Human civilization is at a crossroads. Challenges of immense volatility and uncertainty press us to evolve our ourselves at a greater pace than we have ever done. We need to heal and revitalize the inner terrain of the psyche so our consciousness can respond creatively to the complexity that surrounds and challenges us. The Resonance Code is born of a marriage between ancient and modern, East and West. Its ancient and Eastern sources are Taoist Philosophy and the I Ching, one of Earth's most ancient complexity theories. Its modern and Western sources are contemporary theories of human development and practices of leadership coaching. According to the Taoist framework, the human psyche functions as an organic "resonator," directly exchanging and amplifying resonance - known as qi - with its social and natural environment. Qi carries information essential for our growth and thriving as individuals and as a species. However, on our modern, materialistic path of development, our cognitive minds struggle to process this subtle exchange between ourselves and our environment. This disconnection leads to much of the grief, loneliness, and pervasive distress we experience today. The Resonance Code presents a knowledge system developed through a leadership training curriculum at Resonance Path Institute. This system aims at awakening the psyche to resonance. It enables the rational mind to evolve beyond current limitations so we can dance with complexity and embrace uncertainty as the fertile ground of creativity. The Resonance Code is calling forth a new generation of resonance leaders. These are people who may or may not hold conventional leadership titles, but who love the Earth, feel compassion for all its inhabitants, and are committed to participate in humanity's evolutionary journey.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Progress in Nuclear Energy, Volume 5 covers the significant advances in several aspects of nuclear energy field. This book is composed six chapters that describe the progress in nuclear and gas-cooled reactors. The introductory chapter deals with the development and evolution of decay heat estimates and decay heat Standards, and illustrates the use of these estimates through comparison of both the actinide and fission product decay heat levels from typical fuel samples in a variety of reactor systems. The succeeding chapters present different practical methods for handling resonance absorption problem in the case of thermal reactor lattices and review the physics of the different noise phenomena. These topics are followed by discussions of the developed methodology for the description of breeding, conversion, long-term fuel logistics, and related subjects derived from the detailed mathematical description of the fuel cycle. The concluding chapters consider the historical development of heat transfer surfaces for gas-cooled reactors. These chapters also provide a complete set of differential nuclear data on the three technologically important americium isotopes, 241Am, 242Am, and 243Am, suitable for incorporation into the computer-based U.K. Nuclear Data Library. This book will prove useful to nuclear physicists and nuclear energy scientists and researchers.

Book excerpt: Light water critical experiments have been performed in order to measure microscopic parameters and conversion ratios in single region and multi-region cores containing slightly enriched, stainless steel clad, UO2 fuel rods. The experimental results were analyzed with multi-group codes which were supplemented for the resonance energy by a Monte Carlo code. Experimental and analytical results are presented along with a description of experimental and analystical investigations performed in order to account for discrepancies between theory and experiment.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book deals with the field of identification and sensors, more precisely the possibility of collecting information remotely with RF waves (RFID). The book introduces the technology of chipless RFID starting from classical RFID and barcode, and explores the field of identification and sensors without wire, without batteries, without chip, and with tags that can even be printed on paper. A technique for automatic design of UHF RFID tags is presented , aiming at making the tags as insensitive as possible to the environment (with the ability to increase the reading range reliability), or, conversely, making them sensitive in order to produce sensors, meanwhile keeping their unique ID. The RFID advantages are discussed, along with its numerous features, and comparisons with the barcode technology are presented. After that, the new chipless RFID technology is introduced on the basis of the previous conclusions. Original technological approaches are introduced and discussed in order to demonstrate the practical and economic potential of the chipless technology.

Book excerpt: Manifest Your Dreams in a New World for Yourself and Others Our day-to-day choices, made individually, affect our culture and societal structures as a whole. With this in mind, Sacred Codes in Times of Crisis guides you through an extraordinary program of self-realization and empowerment to access your creative potential and manifest your dreams. Learn the art of true, conscious creation. We spend our lives searching for things that we think will make our lives better, more abundant, loving and fulfilling. Yet, as we take part in our day-to-day busy lives, we often get sidetracked from our truest dreams and desires. Instead of creating the life that we have always dreamed of, we get lost in an endless series of events where we are often unprepared, reactionary, and less tolerant. In order to create with consciousness, to manifest our soul’s wishes into reality, we need to believe there is a greater part of ourselves that is able to guide us, so that we can live our dreams by loving ourselves unconditionally. Embrace Change and transform alongside our interdependent, constantly changing world. If we want to stay up to date in an accelerated technological world, we need to adapt and be willing and open to learning new ways of communicating and inter-relating with ourselves and the world around us. In Sacred Codes in Times of Crisis, spiritual leaders Naomi Fay and Nathalie Moutia teach you: The interconnected nature of all things and the universal truth of oneness Awareness exercises and meditations to support the creation process Channeled text and wisdom teachings to aid conscious co-creation How to manifest your dreams Readers of self-realization and spiritual development books like Becoming Supernatural, Advanced Manifesting, or Attunement will be inspired and encouraged by the words of wisdom in Sacred Codes in Times of Crisis.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Resonance of Unseen Things offers an ethnographic meditation on the “uncanny” persistence and cultural freight of conspiracy theory. The project is a reading of conspiracy theory as an index of a certain strain of late 20th-century American despondency and malaise, especially as understood by people experiencing downward social mobility. Written by a cultural anthropologist with a literary background, this deeply interdisciplinary book focuses on the enduring American preoccupation with captivity in a rapidly transforming world. Captivity is a trope that appears in both ordinary and fantastic iterations here, and Susan Lepselter shows how multiple troubled histories—of race, class, gender, and power—become compressed into stories of uncanny memory. “We really don’t have anything like this in terms of a focused, sympathetic, open-minded ethnographic study of UFO experiencers. . . . The author’s semiotic approach to the paranormal is immensely productive, positive, and, above all, resonant with what actually happens in history.” —Jeffrey J. Kripal, J. Newton Rayzor Professor of Religion, Rice University “Lepselter relates a weave of intimate alien sensibilities in out-off-the-way places which are surprisingly, profoundly, close to home. Readers can expect to share her experience of contact with complex logics of feeling, and to do so in a contemporary America they may have thought they understood.” —Debbora Battaglia, Mount Holyoke College “An original and beautifully written study of contemporary American cultural poetics. . . . The book convincingly brings into relief the anxieties of those at the margins of American economic and civic life, their perceptions of state power, and the narrative continuities that bond them to histories of violence and expansion in the American West.” —Deirdre de la Cruz, University of Michigan
