Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Home - one of the most emotive words in any language. But it can mean different things to different people and, based on extensive interviews, Jennifer Kavanagh explores our outer and inner identities and asks: ‘What does home mean to you?’ Home is not just four walls or the country in which we were born. It is not a locked door, an investment, a legal address, or a nation with rigid borders. Home is where the heart is: a yearning for a precious past, a dream of something that has never been, or a present reality. In relationship – with our families, in community, and with the whole of creation. In this compelling and immensely readable book, Kavanagh suggests that we will never be at home unless we are at home to ourselves. Home is where we all want to be. ,

There is life in the blood, and without its shedding, there would be no hope for the remission of sin. JESUS, who bore our stripes and took our place, the WORD made flesh, the SON of GOD, the ONLY WAY to the FATHER. It is because of HIM there is hope; and who the LORD sets free is free indeed, for GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Brokenness is what lead me to the cross of CHRIST. HE called me out of darkness, into the light of HIS love, to be a little light that would point to HIM, the ONLY WAY home. I confess HE is the LORD of my heart, and that because of HIS love for me, I am not who I once was. By HIS grace, I am saved though faith in the completed work of the cross and the pure love it took to think of me. We are in this journey together. Let's love one another along the way as we walk each other home.

Book excerpt: Long Journey Home, is an autobiography beginning in Poland in 1939. This is a little known story of what happened in Poland during Russian occupation as seen through the eyes of a young girl. On June 20, 1941, a ten year-old girl living a quiet country life is suddenly awakened by a knock on the door in the middle of the night. Two Russian soldiers pointing rifles at parents gave orders to be ready to leave at dawn. Their destination was Siberia. One day after their arrest, Germany declared war on Russia and re-conquering the eastern part of Poland, moved swiftly into Russian mainland. Stalin unable to contain them, sought help from Western Allies. An amnesty pact was signed at the Kremlin with General Sikorski for the Polish Government-in-Exile, granting freedom to all Polish prisoners and deportees. It also provided for formation of a Polish volunteer army on Russian soil to be trained and shipped to the Western Front. Anyone having a close relative in that army could leave Russia. The author and her family were the lucky ones. Freed from Russia in August 1942, going through the Caspian Sea to Persia (now Iran), India, Mexico and, ultimately after six years of wanders, landing in the U.S.
