Download or read book The Future in the Stars written by Alison Chester-Lambert and published by Findhorn Press. This book was released on 2010-09-01 with total page 114 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Predicting changes and trends for the future, this fascinating exploration debunks the myths surrounding 2012 to provide a logical and spiritual theory. Wild claims and bad astronomy have fuelled a doomsday sensation about that energetic and special year, yet little or none is mentioned about the key planets sending the messages—Pluto, Chiron, Cere, Makemake, Eris, and Sedna, as well as some newly discovered planets. This resource delves deep into these important astrological beings to reveal what will really happen in 2012 and how the gods and goddess of these planets will help humanity navigate financial, social, and physical revolutions. Part history, scientific theory, and spiritual insight, this cutting-edge contention provides an understanding not only of 2012 but also of the transformations that will follow.

Book Synopsis Vanished Islands and Hidden Continents of the Pacific by : Patrick D. Nunn
Download or read book Vanished Islands and Hidden Continents of the Pacific written by Patrick D. Nunn and published by University of Hawaii Press. This book was released on 2008-10-31 with total page 287 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Islands—as well as entire continents—are reputed to have disappeared in many parts of the world. Yet there is little information on this subject concerning its largest ocean, the Pacific. Over the years, geologists have amassed data that point to the undeniable fact of islands having disappeared in the Pacific, a phenomenon that the oral traditions of many groups of Pacific Islanders also highlight. There are even a few instances where fragments of Pacific continents have disappeared, becoming hidden from view rather than being submerged. In this scientifically rigorous yet readily comprehensible account of the fascinating subject of vanished islands and hidden continents in the Pacific, the author ranges far and wide, from explanations of the region’s ancient history to the meanings of island myths. Using both original and up-to-date information, he shows that there is real value in bringing together myths and the geological understanding of land movements. A description of the Pacific Basin and the "ups and downs" of the land within its vast ocean is followed by chapters explaining how—long before humans arrived in this part of the world—islands and continents that no longer exist were once present. A succinct account is given of human settlement of the region and the establishment of cultural contexts for the observation of occasional catastrophic earth-surface changes and their encryption in folklore. The author also addresses the persistent myths of a "sunken continent" in the Pacific, which became widespread after European arrival and were subsequently incorporated into new age and pseudoscience explanations of our planet and its inhabitants. Finally, he presents original data and research on island disappearances witnessed by humans, recorded in oral and written traditions, and judged by geoscience to be authentic. Examples are drawn from throughout the Pacific, showing that not only have islands collapsed, and even vanished, within the past few hundred years, but that they are also liable to do so in the future.

Book excerpt: THE NEPHILIM WERE ON THE EARTH IN THOSE DAYS - AND ALSO AFTERWARD - WHEN THE SONS OF GOD WENT TO THE DAUGHTERS OF MEN AND HAD CHILDREN BY THEM. THEY WERE THE HEROES OF OLD, MEN OF RENOWN. - GENESIS 6:4 It has been months since John Carter's estranged brother, Henry, has gone missing. When last heard from, he was sailing off to Bermuda in search of an author whose books deal with the esoteric traditions of past ages. Reluctantly, John joins Henry's old Special Forces Teammates on a trip to Bermuda, hoping to discover the truth behind Henry's disappearance. But not all is as it seems in Bermuda, and the puzzle that awaits John on the small island paradise will prove to be more sinister than anything the world has seen in a very long time. As the fingers of an ancient evil seek to draw him into another world - a world where all of Hell is trying to break loose - John must confront the truth of his own past...and pray that he might survive its revelation... ...that the world might survive its revelation. Described as "Dan Brown meets Lost meets Left Behind," Progeny takes the reader through the heart of the Bermuda Triangle and drops them in a world where biblical legends and ancient mythologies - the similarities of which Hopkins "describes with academic dexterity" - reign terrifyingly supreme. Buckle up! Progeny is "equal parts religious thriller and action-packed roller coaster ride!"

Book Synopsis Pebbles on the Beach by : M. Jankiraman Ph.D.
Download or read book Pebbles on the Beach written by M. Jankiraman Ph.D. and published by Notion Press. This book was released on 2020-10-28 with total page 260 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This planet abounds in myths and legends prevalent in various cultures. More often than not, these are based on a kernel of truth. The facts get grossly exaggerated through the ages, much like a fishing tale! Pebbles on the Beach is a concise examination of many of these. There are adequate references given at the end of each chapter, in case the reader wishes to follow-up on these. Some of the stories examined are pertaining to the year 2012, the biblical end-of-times, as well as the story of Atlantis, the Ark of the Covenant, and an examination of the secrets of the Great Pyramid at Giza in Egypt, amongst others. This book also includes an investigation of the story of Moses, especially the identity of the Pharaoh responsible for the Exodus. This is a result of many years of patient study of such topics by the author and is presented for the first time in the form of one book for easy reading! One is reminded of the famous quote attributed to Sir Isaac Newton, wherein he said that “I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the sea-shore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me.”
