During the latter part of this year, the first number of the Christian Naturalist appeared in that work. The favorable manner in which the series of papers under that head were received by its numerous readers, have now led to their te-publication. Being, however, now presented to a more general class, some pains have been taken by the Author to submit his observations to the public in the form that might be most useful and attractive; and with this view some alterations and corrections have been made, and many additions.
