Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The fables of Aesop, with their lessons and morals about greed, violence, oppression, and mankind's short-sightedness, have--throughout time--always reminded us of our better selves and the importance of real virtues. This book is unusual as it is a hybrid, a fable-novel, in short, a book of fables (stretched into tales) with particular morals. There are three stories that are intertwined, and all of this takes in a post-apocalyptical world set in Australia. The book also humorously criticizes the endless superstitions that have held people back, either through the concepts of tradition, false hopes, and faith. And through the actions of the two main characters, Ritz and Triscuit, we can learn various aspects of wisdom. This novel is a chance for children to better understand the importance of compassion, and to truly understand the complexity of their own world.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The fables of Aesop, with their lessons and morals about greed, violence, oppression, and mankind's short-sightedness, have-throughout time-always reminded us of our better selves and the importance of real virtues. And never before, especially at this time, does society need to be reminded of the importance of compassion, peace, contentment, and cooperation. This book, along with books one and two, are reminders about the need to stand firm against oligarchy and discrimination, the two forces that have always torn societies and nations apart. The three tales that make up these books are set in the future, in a post-apocalyptical world set in Australia with the character of the dragon representing the voices, words, slogans, actions, ideas, and attitudes of 30 dictators, tyrants, oligarchs, and emperors over time: Franz Joseph I, Emperor of Austria, Napoleon, Benito Mussolini, Idi Amin, Muammar Gaddafi, Kim Jong-un, Bashar al-Assad, George Bush, and Donald Trump among others. By making Hasai, the Dragon, multi-dimensional in this regard, the concepts and the attitudes of oligarchs can be better understood. The first book also humorously criticizes the endless superstitions that have held people back, either through the concepts of tradition, false hopes, and faith. Besides using Chinese astrology as the core premise for the book (along with its descriptors for each of the 12 animals), the book also pokes fun at western astrology, lucky charms, healing crystals, fortune-telling, tarot cards, numerology, and ancestor worship. In short, these books have been written for the victims of discrimination like Mary Turner, and for those who died protecting others from bullies like Sam Reynolds in Texas, as well as for all of those who have suffered (and are suffering) from oligarchs and tyrants. Indeed, we may be at the end of an era as events out of the U.S., Europe, and the Middle East (Saudi Arabia) continue to highlight the pettiness and evil of the oligarchs and the hateful divisions in society. Oligarchs, unfortunately, do not go gentle into the good night, to reference the poet Robert Frost. Indeed, just a few days ago, we saw an attempted coup by one such oligarch, Donald Trump, who is fighting his own demise and possible imprisonment. This debacle, the lives which were needlessly lost, and the destruction from it should be a reminder to us all of the costs of allowing our "elites" to rule us. But as our population continues to soar, and our resources decline, the people will look for the "strong man" to lead them out of the wilderness; however, as always, the wealthy will do what they do best-which is to control and to oppress. It is only through wisdom that the poor, (like Aesop himself who was once a slave), will overcome these times. This novel, therefore, is a chance for children to better understand the importance of compassion, and to truly understand the evil and the complexity of their own world. It will-I hope-take one to a place where the land is wide, the flowers are blossoming, the sun is bright, and the roses are white, 'a land of all.'

Book excerpt: The fables of Aesop, with their lessons and morals about greed, violence, oppression, and mankind's short-sightedness, have--throughout time--always reminded us of our better selves and the importance of real virtues. And never before, especially at this time, does society need to be reminded of the importance of compassion, peace, contentment, and cooperation. This book, along with books two and three, are reminders about the need to stand firm against oligarchy and discrimination, the two forces that have always torn societies and nations apart. It has been little over two years since the first book of this trilogy was written. Originally, the idea was to create a short story, written during the lazy hours of Sunday afternoons. Having produced several books of new Aesopian fables (among others), it was a logical next step to produce a hybrid, in short, a book of fables (stretched into tales) with particular morals. Over the first year, the complexity of the stories began to take shape, and it became apparent that three books were needed to finish the story. The three tales that make up this book are set in the future, in a post-apocalyptical world set in Australia with the character of the dragon representing the voices, words, slogans, actions, ideas, and attitudes of 30 dictators, tyrants, oligarchs, and emperors over time: Franz Joseph I, Emperor of Austria, Napoleon, Benito Mussolini, Idi Amin, Muammar Gaddafi, Kim Jong-un, Bashar al-Assad, George Bush, and Donald Trump among others. The southern continent has been embroiled in a long period of war, and its ruler, Prince Stefan, has long been preoccupied with protecting it from the subversion of his wifes family. A diverse group of travellerssoldiers, healers, shape-shifters, animals, and extraterrestrial beingsexperience a shift in consciousness as they interact with strange beings and powerful, mystical forces on the Arcadian Plateau who want to teach the travellers how to listen to the songs that play within their own hearts. Leading the group is Commander Ian Vandos, a battle-hardened warrior who is also a man of great gentleness and principle. His journey across the Plateau opens him to the vulnerability of love and to the stirrings of intuition. His ally, Marconious, a shape-shifter, struggles with the karmic responsibility of his race. When he allows himself to explore the hope offered through his wife, Jardene; their remarkable offspring; and the cleansing power of a new consciousness, Marconious finds a potential path to salvation. At centre stage is the magnificent green solar dragon, Zineac. Powerful, pithy, and just a tiny bit manipulative, Zineac directs events and individuals while just managing to avoid transgression of their free will. He appears with critical timing to act as their guide, protector, and counsel. Yet, in order to strengthen and transform them, the wise dragon will not hesitate to thrust them into experiences that are provocative and at times terrifying.

An Admiral of the World Crisis Committee, she stands on the threshold of the life she gave everything for. She only needs to bring in the galaxy’s first outerworld outlaw. Howard Carver. The legacy left behind by his family holds the key to facing humanity’s greatest threat, the far-flung lifeforms known as Dragons. Rick Miller. A retired Captain with the ship to take them both to the outerworlds, where the outlaw Drogan lurks. These three come together aboard the ageing Arcadia, a ship equipped with an AI named Alice, who is capable of self-piloting. Dawn, naturally feels useless. With or without the use of her greatest skill, she discovers her purpose as a leader when the group comes face-to-face with the being between man and Dragon himself. Drogan. The astral road to him, the SkyLine, launches Dawn and the crew of the Arcadia from Mars to Neptune, and past the edge. Companions in loathing and love, they fight to level the cosmic scales. Through it all watches Alice, inside the Billionaire Boat, the Arcadia. More closely than anyone, she watches Dawn. What waits for the crew at the edge of humanity’s reach; the land of the Dragons: redemption, or damnation?
