The book not only provides a detailed and comprehensive report on the status quo of the EU's terminology in this field. It also reflects the evolution of its terminology since the establishment of a common European development cooperation policy and thus against the background of an ever-changing socio-economic and political situation. The findings are meant to contribute to a better knowledge and understanding of European development cooperation policy as well as to help improve communication between professionals in European and national bodies.

A timely system test would help, but there is a lack of time and resources. The functionality of the software is simply too great. So, you must automate. Automation is not only necessary for the execution of tests, but above all for the generation of suitable test cases. This is possible with Combinatory Logic, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), and Quality Function Deployment (QFD). When today’s cars use map services from the cloud, or their own sensors, for an Advanced Driving Assistance System (ADAS) to perform driving decisions; or when in the future an autonomous car meets another; or with truck platooning; or when adding a new, previously unknown device to an IoT orchestra, the original base system expands its functionality. Therefore, such an expanding system needs being retested before it can do decisions with the potential of affecting harm to humans or things, after each update, after each learning. This is Continuous Testing during operation; it supplements Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration. Disruptive innovations in automotive require an equally disruptive new approach to testing of software-intense systems. This requires moving from once-upon-a-time testing before release to autonomous real-time software & systems testing during operations, with indications to users and suppliers about the actual state and testing results. This book explains the theory and the implementation approach for a framework for Autonomous Real-time Testing (ART) of a software-intense system while in operation.

Amongst such diversity, how can the unity and coherence of the European legal system be guaranteed? Is there a common understanding between lawyers from different national backgrounds as to the meaning and application of EU law? In addressing these issues the idea of 'common concepts' has played a crucial role - it is argued that the unity of the system is guaranteed by the consistent application of certain core principles shaping the law. To what extent can these concepts be trusted to provide a firm basis for the coherence of the EU legal order? Believers in common concepts argue that there is a relatively clear, shared and accepted framework of ideas, providing an understanding of the system that is ultimately unified in spite of all apparent divergence. Sceptics hold that there is no such framework; 'common concepts' turn out to be additional sources of misunderstanding, confusion and, subsequently, legal divergence. According to a third thesis, there is indeed no common conceptual core, but the necessary unity and coherence of EU law can be articulated and even reinforced through the use of divergent concepts. These disputes are generally analysed at ideological, ethical, economic and interstate levels. However, these references do not suffice in understanding the issue, which is related to a divergent perception of the essence of humanity and thus the subject matter of anthropology. The main research objective of the monograph is therefore to reconstruct the sources and the specific European Union way of thinking about the human being. Methodologically, the book expands the understanding of political anthropology within political science and presents a range of suitable instruments for pursuing anthropological research. At the theoretical level, it proposes an anthropological typology of the main currents of European political thought and reveals their prominence for the anthropological orientation of the EU's axiology.
