Book excerpt: Reiki is a scientific art of healing that is used to work on various types of problems. This is an art of re-establishing the lost harmony or balance in the system or even in the eco-system. This is very easy to learn and at the same time, very effective to practice. Also, There were many healing systems prevailing since ages, but in those days, recording of teachings by writing was not common, majority of people used to remember the teachings and transmit them forward in the same way. This is the reason why, during the course of time, a number of streams were created in the Reiki teaching methods.
