He had been indulged in Chinese Cultures since 1922 and he loved to look around the exhibition in Peking, to understand their needs, learning art, and he met the Chinese artist Yuan-Du Chen who was baptized by him in Peking (Beijing China) as Luke Chen, a professor at Fine Art School of Fu Jen Catholic University in Peking (Beijing China). Yuan-Du Chen encouraged students to highlight their personal characters and play their artistic genius creatively and he influenced many students go into religious creation and become Christians. His greate contribution to Chinese Paintings was commended by Bishop Celso Costantini as follows: "Chinese Paintings can result in wonderful performance by Strokes and delicate Chinese Skill, class performance without the anti-holy church, genetic, and also the same in real terms, only in the form of was inspired by the enthusiasm of Christianity in China to adapt to the psychology of Chinese, naturally extremely reasonable on showing the characteristics of Chinese art and its artistic unique compact, can be the form of unity and essence." Women have played an important role in the history of Chinese Christianity, but their contributions have yet to receive due recognition, partly because of the complexities arising out of the historical tension between Western imperialism and Chinese patriarchy. Single women missionaries and missionary spouses in the nineteenth century set the early examples of what women could do to spread the Gospel, yet they might not have intended to instill the same free spirit into their Chinese converts. The education provided to Chinese women by missionaries was expected to turn them into good wives and mothers, but knowledge empowered the students, allowing them to become full participants not only in the Church but also in the wider society. Together, the Western female missionaries and the Chinese women whom they trained explored their newfound freedom and tried out their roles with the help of each other. These developments culminated in the ordination of Florence Li Tim Oi to priesthood in 1944, a singular event that fundamentally changed the history of the Anglican Communion. Their success has been phenomenal, despite the fact that China continues to be governed by a single party. Clear distinctions between the people and the government are emerging, underlining the fact that true liberalization cannot be imposed from above. Although a large percentage of the Chinese people have been part of China's long march to freedom, farmers, entrepreneurs, migrants, Chinese gays, sex pleasure seekers, and black-marketers played a particularly important role in the beginning. Lawyers, scholars, journalists, and rights activists have jumped in more recently to ensure that liberalization continues. Social dissatisfaction with the government is now published in the media, addressed in public forums, and deliberated in courtrooms. Intellectuals devoted to improvement in human rights and continued liberalization are part of the process. This grassroots social revolution has also resulted from the explosion of information available to ordinary people (especially via the Internet) and far-reaching international influences. All have fundamentally altered key elements of the moral and material content of China's party-state regime and society at large. This social revolution is moving China towards a more liberal society despite its government. The Chinese government reacts, rather than leads, in this trans formative process. This book is a landmark - a decade in the making.
