J. Oct. 9-13, 1916 The wood to be treated shall be southern yellow pine, Norway pine, Douglas fire or tamarack. Only one kind of wood to be used in one contract. The blocks must be cut from a good grade of timber, and must be well manufactured, full size, square butted and square edged, free from the following defects: checks, unsound, loose or hollow knots, knotholes, worm holes, thru shakes and round shakes that show on the surface.
