The journey of Mr. Eliot to China and to Japan docs not stand alone. Mr. Hamilton W. Mabie spent more than six months of the year 1912-1913 in Japan and Mr. Robert Bacon has recently spent three months in some of the capital cities of South America. During the year 1911-1912 Professor Nitobe, an eminent educator of Japan, spent eight months in the United States, and at the present time Professor Shosuke Sato is visiting a number of American universities and agricultural colleges.
