The three chapters in section 2 describe school-based financing systems in English-speaking democracies around the world. This section outlines issues that arose in the early years of the implementation of school-finance reform, the experiences of Victoria, Australia, with school-based financing, and how one school system managed the delegation of significant management and budgetary authority. The book concludes with a look at how schools, school districts, and states in the United States allocate and use financial resources.
