If it were possible to go back in time and make those changes, what unknown truths might be discovered? What rewards could be achieved and at what cost? How would changing the past affect the present? Would learning the truth about the past be worth knowing? Joe Adam's obsession was to do whatever he could to save the life of his father who was killed before Joe was born. If he were successful in saving his life, then his beloved brother, sister, and children would not exist. He would never have the wonderful family he has now. Traveling back in time maybe truth shattering, but as Joe discovers, is both devastating and rewarding. This encounter holds secrets for all parties involved. In this story the mystery of time travel is unlocked, and Joe, as well as the reader, is in for quite an adventure.

Download or read book Space-Time Continuum Shattered! written by Frank Santora and published by . This book was released on 2019-09-06 with total page 101 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It is without question that this book will elicit a lot of commentary, both good and bad, from experts and interested people as well. Herein, Einstein's various "thought experiments", that led to the concept of Space-Time Continuum, are more thoroughly examined and extended. Upon closer examination, a number of very serious flaws were uncovered in the theories of Special Relativity (SR) and General Relativity (GR). As a consequence, the combined flaws essentially lead to serious "cracks" in the overall Relativity theory and the subsequent "shattering" of the Space-Time Continuum concept. This book does not present complicated and boring physics or mathematics. Instead, it approaches the subject the same way that Einstein did before he developed his mathematics; --through visual "thought experiments". So, sit back and enjoy a return to reality.

Book excerpt: ***OVER A MILLION COPIES OF THE IRON DRUID BOOKS SOLD*** 'American Gods meets Jim Butcher's Harry Dresden' SFF World For nearly two thousand years, there was only one Druid left walking the Earth - Atticus O'Sullivan, the Iron Druid, whose sharp wit and sharp sword kept him alive while pursued by a pantheon of hostile deities. Now he's got company. Atticus's apprentice Granuaile is finally a full Druid herself. What's more, Atticus has defrosted an archdruid long ago frozen in time, a father figure (of sorts) who now goes by the modern name Owen Kennedy. And Owen has some catching up to do. Atticus takes pleasure in the role reversal, as the student is now the teacher. Between busting Atticus's chops and trying to fathom a cell phone, Owen must also learn English. For Atticus, the jury's still out on whether the wily old coot will be an asset in the epic battle with Norse god Loki - or merely a pain in the arse. As the trio of Druids deals with pestilence-spreading demons, bacon-loving yeti, fierce flying foxes, and frenzied Fae, they're hoping that this time . . . three's a charm. Praise for the Iron Druid Chronicles: 'Atticus and his crew are a breath of fresh air! . . . Book excerpt: #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER It was never supposed to be this close. And of course she was supposed to win. How Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 election to Donald Trump is the riveting story of a sure thing gone off the rails. For every Comey revelation or hindsight acknowledgment about the electorate, no explanation of defeat can begin with anything other than the core problem of Hillary's campaign--the candidate herself. Through deep access to insiders from the top to the bottom of the campaign, political writers Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes have reconstructed the key decisions and unseized opportunities, the well-intentioned misfires and the hidden thorns that turned a winnable contest into a devastating loss. Drawing on the authors' deep knowledge of Hillary from their previous book, the acclaimed biography HRC, Shattered offers an object lesson in how Hillary herself made victory an uphill battle, how her difficulty articulating a vision irreparably hobbled her impact with voters, and how the campaign failed to internalize the lessons of populist fury from the hard-fought primary against Bernie Sanders. Moving blow-by-blow from the campaign's difficult birth through the bewildering terror of election night, Shattered tells an unforgettable story with urgent lessons both political and personal, filled with revelations that will change the way readers understand just what happened to America on November 8, 2016.

Book Synopsis Heritage Ecologies by : Torgeir Rinke Bangstad
Download or read book Heritage Ecologies written by Torgeir Rinke Bangstad and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2021-08-23 with total page 459 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Heritage Ecologies presents an ecological understanding of heritage that furthers a concern for how its making and unmaking always involves a wide range of human and other-than-human actors. Recognizing the entangled nature-cultures of heritage is essential in the Anthropocene era, where uncertainty and rapid environmental change force us to recast common conceptions of inheritance and to envision new strategies for preservation. Heritage sites are meant to be open and shared spaces, and a recurring argument in the cases presented here is that this openness inevitably also overrides our selections, orders and appreciations. Through a diverse range of case studies, the chapters collected in this book aim to explore the affects and memories engendered by diverse heritage ecologies where humans are neither the sole makers nor the only inheritors. The common call is that the experiential, perceptive and informational plenitude enabled through contributions of other-than-human actors is key to an ecological rethinking of heritage in the twenty-first century. Heritage Ecologies is unique in bringing heritage studies into closer proximity with a wide variety of non-representational and object-oriented theories and is an important volume for students and researchers in archaeology and heritage studies.
