He thus revealed the Gospel to the penultimate prophet Jesus and the Torah to the prophet Moses. Thus we read in verse 3 of Surah 3: "It is He Who has sent down the Book (the Quran) to you (Muhammad) with truth, confirming what came before it. And he sent down the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)." However, Islam considers that with the exception of the Quran, all holy books have been falsified by man.
