Book Synopsis It Is Time to Reap My Harvest That Has Been Sown in Tears by : Pastor Christine Peebles
Download or read book It Is Time to Reap My Harvest That Has Been Sown in Tears written by Pastor Christine Peebles and published by . This book was released on 2019-04-03 with total page 178 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It Is Time to Reap My Harvest that has been Sown in Tears "They that sow in tears shall reap in joy" Psalms 126:5. "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning" Psalms 30:5. In this life of mine, I have done a whole lot of crying, but at the same time, that old man was dying (the Adam nature). Before the death of Jesus, he suffered through a whole lot of things for our sake. The Bible said that he was wounded, he was bruised, he was despised, and he was rejected, and then he was crucified. The Bible tells me in 1 Peter 4:1: I got to arm myself likewise and suffer. There is consolation in knowing that God is going to deliver me out of all my afflictions. Trials brings forth pain and pain bring forth weeping and tears, and in the midst of my weeping and crying, I heard the Lord say, "Don't miss your harvest that has been sown in tears". My first book, "I Overcame by the Blood of the Lamb", in my writing, I was in pain and did a lot of crying: old wounds were opened. The second book I wrote, God had me to title it, "The Costly Anointing". God said, what you have suffered through is what has caused my anointing to be upon and within your life, and that is very costly: it is called The Costly Anointing. God said, you have suffered through a lot, and now it is time to reap your harvest that has been sown in tears. My consolation is in Revelation 21:4: And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

Download or read book Crazy Faith written by Michael Todd and published by WaterBrook. This book was released on 2023-09-19 with total page 241 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • From the author of Relationship Goals . . . Will you be remembered as a person who claimed to follow God but liked to play it safe? Or as a person who lived your life out on the limb and trusted God enough to live in crazy faith? Noah looked crazy when he started building the ark . . . until it started raining. It was crazy for Moses to lead a nation of people into the desert away from Egypt . . . until the Red Sea parted. It was crazy to believe that a fourteen-year-old virgin would give birth to the Son of God . . . until Mary held Jesus in her arms. There are many things that seem normal or average today that at one point in time seemed absolutely crazy. Smartphones, Wi-Fi, and even the electric light bulb were all groundbreaking, history-making inventions that started out as crazy ideas. Our see-it-to-believe-it generation tends to have a hard time exercising true faith—one that steps out, takes action, and sees mountain-moving results. Many of us would rather play it safe and stand on the sidelines, but it’s crazy faith that helps us see God move and reveals His promises. In Crazy Faith, Pastor Michael Todd shows us how to step out in faith and dive into the purposeful life of trusting God for the impossible. Even if you have to start with baby faith or maybe faith, you can become empowered to let go of your lazy faith, trust God through your hazy faith, and learn to live a lifestyle of crazy faith. With powerful stories of modern-day faith warriors who take their cues from biblical heroes, Michael Todd equips you to • believe for the impossible • choose hope over fear • be alert to the voice of God • cope with loss and doubt • develop a deeper level of trust in God • speak faith-filled declarations • inspire crazy faith in others God’s not looking for somebody to give Him all the reasons why His plans can’t happen. He’s looking for somebody to believe they will happen. In fact, He has so much He wants to do through you. The question is, Are you crazy enough to believe it?

Download or read book John's Gospel written by Ralph F. Wilson and published by . This book was released on 2015-04-15 with total page 460 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Gospel written by the Beloved Disciple St. Augustine once said about the Gospel of John, that, "It is shallow enough for a child not to drown, yet deep enough for an elephant to swim in it." John contains the Bible's favorite verse - John 3:16. John's themes are essential to our understanding of Jesus as Son of God and Messiah. Here we learn about the Holy Spirit, the Counselor who lives within us to guide and empower us. We learn about the Father's love and eternal life. Some of the most beloved stories of Jesus' ministry are found only in the Fourth Gospel -- changing the water into wine, the woman at the well, the woman taken in adultery, raising Lazarus, washing the disciples' feet, and many more. In John's Gospel you find Jesus as the Bread of Life; the Light of the World; the Good Shepherd; the Way, the Truth, and the Life. John's Gospel is lengthy - 21 chapters, but rich and deep. Each chapter concludes with a summary of lessons for disciples to ponder. This study's helpful thought and discussion questions make it useful for personal enrichment and by small groups and classes. Extensive research contained in the footnotes makes it a goldmine for teachers and a boon to preachers involved in sermon preparation.
Book Synopsis American Harvest by : Marie Mutsuki Mockett
Download or read book American Harvest written by Marie Mutsuki Mockett and published by Graywolf Press. This book was released on 2020-04-07 with total page 416 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An epic story of the American wheat harvest, the politics of food, and the culture of the Great Plains For over one hundred years, the Mockett family has owned a seven-thousand-acre wheat farm in the panhandle of Nebraska, where Marie Mutsuki Mockett’s father was raised. Mockett, who grew up in bohemian Carmel, California, with her father and her Japanese mother, knew little about farming when she inherited this land. Her father had all but forsworn it. In American Harvest, Mockett accompanies a group of evangelical Christian wheat harvesters through the heartland at the invitation of Eric Wolgemuth, the conservative farmer who has cut her family’s fields for decades. As Mockett follows Wolgemuth’s crew on the trail of ripening wheat from Texas to Idaho, they contemplate what Wolgemuth refers to as “the divide,” inadvertently peeling back layers of the American story to expose its contradictions and unhealed wounds. She joins the crew in the fields, attends church, and struggles to adapt to the rhythms of rural life, all the while continually reminded of her own status as a person who signals “not white,” but who people she encounters can’t quite categorize. American Harvest is an extraordinary evocation of the land and a thoughtful exploration of ingrained beliefs, from evangelical skepticism of evolution to cosmopolitan assumptions about food production and farming. With exquisite lyricism and humanity, this astonishing book attempts to reconcile competing versions of our national story.
