Download or read book Distant Lover written by Ashaki Boelter and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2003-10-12 with total page 190 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Set in the Rose City of Portland, Oregon, the All-4-Love series evolves around Alley's wacky relationship toggles and family issues. Sure, typical family problems can be repeated snores when it comes to reading, but I've taken it to wild and crazy heights and it should keep all readers glued to the end. Distant Lover is about protagonist Alley's yearning for someone that seems hard to reel in. He yearns for Lavida Jones, but she is entangled in parenting, job, and ex-fiancé problems. The story opens with Alley being the ultimate, unemployed, and complete loser. Not only is Alley suddenly blessed with finding job security, he meets his distant lover on a bus. Together, Alley and Lavida survive all the wacky challenges: A stalking bum that eventually cleans up his alcoholic behaviors, returns to the bottle, and ends up dead by the end of Distant Lover. The gangster son of Lavida, who threatened to shoot Alley if marriage came up, ends up shot and finds that Jesus is his best friend. The ex-fiancé and part time Jamaican pimp, Robert, ends up the most hated villain you'll ever read about.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Layered with physical, emotional, and relational tension, Through Blurred Vision brings forth the life of a young man that was given a diagnosis that appears in 0.0001% of births. As a result, Kurt Pangborn’s life was encompassed in darkness. Yet despite the daunting realty of this diagnosis’ limitations, Pangborn sought the true light of life in his darkness, and found a message that extends past human reason. Kurt Pangborn’s Through Blurred Vision inspires readers to turn their pain into praise and apply the “Three P’s” of higher living. Residing in a world that is broken and filled with trials, Pangborn’s writing encourages others to seek God’s guidance—because He wants your life to rise above the inequity and to magnify his glory. Mankind’s greatest problem is separation from Christ, which Pangborn uniquely presents in Through Blurred Vision as the gospel and game plan for every man, women, son, and daughter.
Book Synopsis Unworthy, Chosen, and Forgiven by : Michael Gilcreast
Download or read book Unworthy, Chosen, and Forgiven written by Michael Gilcreast and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2022-03-16 with total page 627 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I thought long and hard before I even imagined to write any book, but somehow people just kept telling me to write a book out of the blue. I started to write, and nothing came of it for over ten years. I have only made it to page 44 of my manuscript. My biggest question, which led to my real motivation to write, was "How can different people from different states I visited kept telling me the same thing? Could they all be wrong?" It was in March 2020, everything was shut down, I was in attendance at the AFFI mini-convention in Maryland, and it was closed down by the governor. Therefore, from all points in my life, God made sure that I would write. I was out of excuses and I just encouraged myself to write the movie-like book of my life. I have done many one-on-one, premarital, marriage pastoral feedback sessions, inside and outside the church. I only came to find out in some way, shape, or form that people have problems of sorts that were similar to my own. I think of myself as an unorthodox writer and now pastor/author that loves the truth with the desire to be a help for people. I now see a new parallel that was within me all along because my first passion was to become a doctor, so I could help people. More than half of my life have either been in the Air Force or working for the Department of Defense at the Pentagon in some type of full-time capacity. I even survived the war act of September 11 (911)! Yet I have a story to tell, starting from a dysfunctional family to chasing women, becoming a womanizer, stories of infidelity, unemployment, lying, stealing, divorce, bad credit, bankruptcy, gambling, and even several attempts to commit suicide! If the truth be told, I never thought that I would live past the age of thirty-five! While I thought that I was unworthy, I found out that God had chosen me to live again and to tell my story and to be the pastor that I am today! I was truly a lost soul! On this same path of my life, I have found redemption and a second chance to experience true and unconditional love in the form of Melody. A love that could have only been birthed by God's grace! Truly, my soul loves Jesus!

Download or read book Words for the Week written by Junebug and published by Strategic Book Publishing & Rights Agency. This book was released on 2017-09-11 with total page 372 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: How many of us allow our treasured memories of ourselves, our children, and their children to slowly slip away and be forgotten, never having been recorded for future generations? “I decided to give my children and their children slices of our lives in book form, a family heirloom of memories in story form, with a photo or illustration with each story,” says Junebug, the author of this wonderful storybook. Words for the Week represents a compilation of one hundred stories, featuring experiences and relationships of the author’s family and friends, spanning the ages of three months to 73 years old. Each story centers on one word or phrase, which becomes the theme and title of the story, and encourages readers to think about similar events in their own lives. Says the author, “Characters in these stories range from myself and my children from a very young age to adulthood, and friends in various situations in life. The emotional content spans the gamut from hilarious to quite serious and sad. This is a verbal depiction of the actual lives of myself and my children, Denise, Danny, Debi, and Davy, all of whom are now grown and happy with the lives they have chosen and built for themselves.” Junebug began writing these stories while working for her local weekly newspaper. “The idea of a building a book of stories for my children about our lives was then born. After three years, one hundred stories were finally completed.”
