In a celebratory manner, I'm giving tribute to the unsung heroes who contributed to the person I am today. After years of countless conversations and observations, I've come to the perception that most triumphs and occasional adversities in an adolescent's life are due to the initial affections that were exhibited or denied can be the primary reason for their demeanor. Furthermore, what has motivated me to write this book was that I yearn to honor those affectionate men and women that are no longer with me, but have in finitely touched my heart and blessed my life. Ergo, as a wife, mother, Pastor, my infinite mission is to tell the world how Jesus Christ has blessed my life.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: How many times do you feel unappreciated as a consumer? You work every day and might I say HARD FOR YOUR MONEY! I wonder if the people who work in the service industry would change their attitude, if they knew what consumers were thinking and feeling. Putting yourself in ?someone else's shoes? can certainly change your actions and this book will do just that. I don't think I was born with a passion to serve others, but there is something about being able to turn a negative situation into a positive one that gives me a sense of strength. Something about hearing the words ?Thank you? after I help someone that stirs up overwhelming feelings in my soul. Something about just being kind, offering pleasant words or services that brings me to a place of happiness and joy. And then there's the added value of increasing sales and helping to make the company I work for a ?consumers #1 choice? ?well that is just icing on the cake! This book is ALL ?reality read? (my own genre) and will make you smile, laugh but most of all make you think? Happy Reading!

Book excerpt: A 2020 ALA Notable Children’s Book A Washington Post Best Children’s Book of 2019 Barbara Dee explores the subject of #MeToo for the middle grade audience in this heart-wrenching—and ultimately uplifting—novel about experiencing harassment and unwanted attention from classmates. For seventh-grader Mila, it starts with some boys giving her an unwanted hug on the school blacktop. A few days later, at recess, one of the boys (and fellow trumpet player) Callum tells Mila it’s his birthday, and asks her for a “birthday hug.” He’s just being friendly, isn’t he? And how can she say no? But Callum’s hug lasts a few seconds too long, and feels…weird. According to her friend, Zara, Mila is being immature and overreacting. Doesn’t she know what flirting looks like? But the boys don’t leave Mila alone. On the bus. In the halls. During band practice—the one place Mila could always escape. It doesn’t feel like flirting—so what is it? Thanks to a chance meeting, Mila begins to find solace in a new place: karate class. Slowly, with the help of a fellow classmate, Mila learns how to stand her ground and how to respect others—and herself. From the author of Everything I Know About You, Halfway Normal, and Star-Crossed comes this timely story of a middle school girl standing up and finding her voice.”

Book excerpt: Eileen is nine and too smart for the third grade, but when the clownish school psychologist tries to gain her trust with an offer of Oreos, she refuses. After all, she doesn't accept gifts from strangers! This is the start of a love-hate relationship with the rules as they were laid out for a girl in 1960s upstate New York--and as they persist in some form today. As she ascends from her rural public high school, where she wasn't allowed to take the advanced courses in science and math because she was female, through a physics degree at Yale, to a post-graduate summer that leaves her "peed on, shot at, and kidnapped," to a marriage where both careers theoretically are respected but, as the wife, she is expected to do all the housework and child-rearing, pay the taxes, and make sure the Roto-Rooter guy arrives on time, Pollack shares with poignant humor and candid language the trials of being smart and female in a world that is just learning to imagine equality between the sexes. Maybe It's Me is a question all smart women have asked themselves. Pollack's autobiographical essays take us on a roller-coaster ride from gratifyingly humorous street-level stories of innocent curiosity to the calculated meanness of tweeny girls to the defensive strategies of threatened men to the 20,000-foot overview of how we all got here. In the end, Pollack's message is one of human connection and tenacity because even in her sixth decade, still searching for love, acceptance, and equality, she is still very much in the game.

He hears voices and begins to see things from sleep deprivation. The newly turned twisted loner soon finds that the only way he’s able to sleep at all is from pills, drinking, any extreme high or from the aftermath of a adrenaline rush. He’s finally alive and acting out trying everything that he never thought he never would have the nerve to try before which includes being a sexual deviant, drugs and even murder.
