In der Arbeit wird zunächst der Begriff der lernenden Organisation erläutert. Nachgelagert werden die Theorien von Argyris und Schön (2018) zu organisationalem Lernen sowie von Senge (2017) zu den fünf Disziplinen einer lernenden Organisation dargelegt und mit der Begriffsbildung der lernenden Organisation verknüpft. Im anschließenden Fallbeispiel erfolgt die praxisnahe Konzeptionierung der theoretischen Grundlagen im Rahmen des PDCA-Zyklus, der zur kontinuierlichen Verbesserung von Unternehmensprozessen in einem Kaizen-Team angewendet wird. Die sich hieraus entwickelnden Potenziale einer lernenden Organisation zur Steigerung des Unternehmenserfolgs werden danach auf Anforderungen an Mitarbeitende und Führungskräfte geprüft. Abschließend erfolgt die kritische Auseinandersetzung mit Limitationen, Lernhemmnissen und Widerständen der Mitarbeitenden als potenzielle Störfaktoren.
