Asi pues, la igualdad de oportunidades y el empleo estarán a partir de ahora unidos de forma inseparable. 3) integracion de la igualdad de oportunidades en otras politicas (cooperacion al desarrollo, educacion, investigacion y desarrollo, etc); 4) participacion equilibrada de mujeres y hombres en la toma de decisiones como ojbetivo clave; 5) el informe dedica toda una seccion a la cuestion de la igualdad de oportunidades entre mujeres y hombres en los paises candidatos a formar parte de la union; y 6) prevision de las politicas de igualdad de oportunidades en 1999.
