Book excerpt: This unique book comprehensively presents the current state of knowledge, theoretical and practical alike, in the field of business-to-business (B2B) marketing. More than 30 of the best and most recognized B2B marketers address the most relevant theoretical foundations, concepts, tried and tested approaches and models from entrepreneurial practice. Many of those concepts are published for the first time ever in this book. The book not only builds on the existing classic literature for industrial goods marketing but also – and much more importantly – finally closes the gap towards the rapidly growing ecosystem of modern B2B marketing terms, instruments, products, and topics. Technical terms such as Account-Based Marketing, Buyer Journey, ChatBots, Content AI, Marketing Automation, Marketing Canvas, Social Selling, Touchpoint Sensitivity Analysis, and Predictive Intelligence are explained and examined in detail, especially in terms of their applicability and implementation. The book as a whole reflects the B2B marketing journey so that the readers can directly connect the content to their own experience and use the book as a guide in their day-to-day work for years to come.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This eagerly anticipated autobiography and business book chronicles Joseph's journey from his troubled early years, to being expelled from school at age 15, to winning BBC's The Apprentice, and finally partnering with and splitting from Lord Sugar, TV's most famous billionaire. This surprising tale will inspire, motivate and give readers the intelligence they'll need to create their own professional triumphs. "My Mum had pretty much given up on me by this time, and the police were starting to take a slight interest in me thanks to my...rebellious behaviour. I was not in a good place." I was only five months into this new two year course, and for whatever reasons, I was now approaching a fifth employment placement as an apprentice." "It felt like someone had flicked on a light switch inside of me. I'd always known I wanted to be a businessman, but until now, I'd had no idea how to seriously go about it." "It's fair to say that during that Boardroom, Lord Sugar absolutely flew at me in anger." In putting together this true adventure of a book, Joseph worked intensively during the period between his high profile split from Lord Alan Sugar as his business partner in Spring 2017, and the following Autumn's airing of the 13th series of The Apprentice on BBC 1 - the show where 'Mr Joseph Valente' first became a household name. In reading his book, you are about to find out that Joseph's pathway to get where he is today has by no means been easy, and you will definitely discover how there is so much more to his journey than the title may suggest.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Equity, from the Boardroom to the Classroom discusses the need for districts to become Professional Learning Organizations (PLOs) which links the board’s role to Professional Learning Communities. In order to promote equity, it is vital that school boards build a culture in which all stakeholders contribute individually and collectively to accomplish district objectives. To foster a collaborative culture, boards must display “thermostat leadership” as opposed to “thermometer leadership.” “Thermostat leadership” is practiced when the board is actively involved in setting, maintaining, or adjusting district culture in order to ensure alignment with district priorities which PLOs promote. Comparatively, “thermometer leadership” is used when a board governs by a laissez-faire approach and seeks to mandate a specificculture without becomingly actively involved. The latter approach enable boards to be misinformed about its strategic initiatives. Research is clear: No school reform aimed at improving student learning will be successful without strong leadership and support from the school board. PLOs are a must for districts that desire to build a positive culture and seek to increase student achievement by way of a systemic process grounded in collaboration. Without leadership, support, and collaboration led by the school board, it is doubtful that any school reform will be successful regardless of how effective the reform may appear to be.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Children in today's world are inundated with information about who to be, what to do and how to live. But what if there was a way to teach children how to manage priorities, focus on goals and be a positive influence on the world around them? The Leader in Meis that programme. It's based on a hugely successful initiative carried out at the A.B. Combs Elementary School in North Carolina. To hear the parents of A. B Combs talk about the school is to be amazed. In 1999, the school debuted a programme that taught The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Peopleto a pilot group of students. The parents reported an incredible change in their children, who blossomed under the programme. By the end of the following year the average end-of-grade scores had leapt from 84 to 94. This book will launch the message onto a much larger platform. Stephen R. Covey takes the 7 Habits, that have already changed the lives of millions of people, and shows how children can use them as they develop. Those habits -- be proactive, begin with the end in mind, put first things first, think win-win, seek to understand and then to be understood, synergize, and sharpen the saw -- are critical skills to learn at a young age and bring incredible results, proving that it's never too early to teach someone how to live well.

This is self-improvement on steroids: action-oriented and no-holds-barred. Becoming Unruly describes a step-by-step process to explore obsolete rules and practices that are keeping you stuck. It provides creative approaches to personal and professional relationship management, and it includes examples of scenarios that we encounter every day. Dr. Batchelor’s process is ideal for use in education, personal exploration, leadership, and team management and optimization. Each section begins with an activity, and each activity is followed by a detailed debrief of the common responses and lessons the activity has produced over the years. Each step is designed to fit into a larger framework, which is detailed in the last chapter. This framework has proven to be highly effective in corporate settings and is a great tool for leaders. Whether you are a teacher, a student, or a corporate leader, this book captures Dr. Batchelor’s process—the best experiential teaching that can be delivered outside of a classroom.

Book excerpt: Sassy, funny, blunt, and definitely not sugar coated, Don’t Burp in the Boardroom examines etiquette in the workplace, from the warehouse to the top floor. While the outerwear may be different, the dilemmas from cubicle to corner office are the same. Rosalinda Randall delves into common predicaments like food, the break room, social media and electronics, office romances, or how to make a good impression when you’re new on the job. She also delves into the uncommonly common like catching your boss in an unfortunate position and how to avoid that one co-worker who always wants a hug. In today’s modern, fast-paced, crazy lifestyle we think we don’t have time for etiquette. We might believe that it is outdated, irrelevant, or even pretentious. But Don’t Burp in the Boardroom talks about etiquette without mentioning etiquette! How’s that possible? Because Rosalinda defines etiquette as an attitude. What’s yours like?
