Además, la mayoría de estas unidades se relacionan con variantes no estándar de la lengua. Por lo tanto, los fraseologismos constituyen uno de los recursos mediante los cuales se puede evocar el lenguaje hablado en textos escritos. El objetivo de este trabajo es investigar este potencial evocador que tiene la fraseología en el marco de la oralidad ficcional en base a un estudio descriptivo de la novela ‘Emil und die Detektive’ de Erich Kästner y de sus traducciones al castellano y al catalán.

Estas expresiones, llamadas proverbios, continúan vivas en muchas lenguas del mundo y se utilizan tanto en el lenguaje escrito como en el hablado. El historiador inglés Thomas Fuller describía los proverbios como “una gran cantidad de materia decorada en pocas palabras”. La lengua española es de una riqueza sensacional gracias a todos sus giros, locuciones y fraseologismos. En la presente tesis nos vamos a centrar en un aspecto concreto: los proverbios. Como bien indica la filóloga Casado Conde: “El tiempo pasa, la lengua cambia, los proverbios permanecen” (Casado Conde 1998: 6). Es improbable que alguien no conozca frases como “De tal palo, tal astilla”, “Dios aprieta pero no ahoga” o “El tiempo todo lo cura”. Este tipo de frases cortas forman parte integrante de la realidad cultural y lingüística. Cada una de estas expresiones es resultado de una determinada tradición, religión o cultura, por lo cual conservan su estructura desde hace siglos y se conocen todavía en el día de hoy. La primera parte de este trabajo se dedica a la introducción a la fraseología. En primer lugar, vamos a definir el término “fraseología” recurriendo a distintos trabajos y análisis elaborados por diversos lingüistas. Nos dedicaremos a la historia de su desarrollo no solo en España sino también en otros países, sobre todo en Alemania y la Unión Soviética. A continuación, vamos a definir algunos términos importantes en este ámbito, tales como “unidad fraseológica” o “enunciado” y explicar brevemente las características de estas unidades recurriendo a varios recursos. Asimismo, vamos a destacar distintas clasificaciones fraseológicas. Sin embargo, el punto central es la realización de un contraste fraseológico interlingual, por lo que explicaremos el término “fraseología contrastiva”.
