Why is it so difficult for us to enjoy the here and now full of happiness? Because we are busy thinking: 1. Either we think about our past, which means we hold on to our memories Or 2. we think about our future, which we plan out of our (mostly bad) memories These we then call experiences. We are so busy with this that we completely forget the here and now. Our thoughts about the past and future jump around in our heads like a horde of wild monkeys. They hardly ever come to rest, hardly in the present moment. We do not come to rest. Especially not when external circumstances still cause us fear or panic. Yet this very moment, this being in the here and now, is the only time when we can do something, create something. It is so important to let our thoughts come to rest so that we can think more clearly. Really make yourself clear: The past is over, the future is not yet here. Neither in the past nor in the future we can act. We can only do that HERE and NOW. You are probably asking yourself: How do I get into the here and now?
