Download or read book ¿Es la escuela el problema? written by and published by . This book was released on 2008 with total page 416 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book La etnografía es también cosa de chicos written by Diana Milstein and published by Miño y Dávila. This book was released on 2023-03-14 with total page 200 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Escriben: Diana Milstein, Alexandra Barbosa Carrero, Anny Bertoli, Valentina Cardona, Brayan David, Díaz Ramírez, Tatiana Escarraga, Cristian Fernando Giraldo Quintero, Alba Lucy Guerrero, Lisa Medina González, Daniela Alejandra Molina Porras, Darling Molina, Sarita Michel Molina Porras, Nedzib Sastoque Rangel, Suri Fernanda Sastoque Rangel, Valentina Torres, Jesús Jaramillo, Ramón Ruiz Diaz, Daniela Domínguez, Luana Duarte, Carolina Gandulfo, Mabel Miranda, Héctor Daniel Aguirre, Osbar Alegre, Tamara Daiana Alegre, Emilce Arce, Ramiro Joaquín Ayala, Natalia Balmaceda, Orlando Balmaceda, Iván Barrios, Gonzalo Benítez, Juana Cardozo, Manuel Carrizo, Facundo Nicolás Cerrudo, Fernanda Coronel, Bruno Falcón, Agustín Fernández, Ángel Fernández, Fátima Fernández, Gabriela Fernández, Juan Fernández, Gisela Ferreyra, Cristian García, Carlos Daniel Gauto, Larisa Lourdes Guayaré, Alexander Lagraña, Adrián Mendoza, Florencia Monzón, Juan Manuel Ojeda, Ludmila Ortigoza, Mariana Ortiz, Miguel Ángel Quiroz, Luciano Ignacio Ramírez, Mónica Ríos, Santiago Rodríguez, Alexis Romero, Macarena Ruiz, Víctor Fabián Samaniego, Vanina Mercedes Sandoval, Lucrecia Fabiana Zárate.

Download or read book Conociendo nuestras escuelas written by María Bertely Busquets and published by Paidos Mexicana Editorial. This book was released on 2000-01-01 with total page 131 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Juan Carlos Tedesco, a prominent Argentinean sociologist argues that qualitative studies of education in Latin America represent a major challenge to current research. Latin American qualitative researchers are producing interpretive studies that focus on the realities of current developmental and educational reforms. Indigenous communities, women, students, and teachers are given voice in these studies, which represent the state of Latin American ethnographic, qualitative, and participatory research. This is the first book in English to offer a state-of-the-art collection of educational qualitative research studies in Latin America. The first three chapters present an overview of qualitative research, while the remaining seven chapters provide studies that explore various aspects of education from public schools to informal educational programs.
Book Synopsis Ethnic Identity and Power by : Yali Zou
Download or read book Ethnic Identity and Power written by Yali Zou and published by State University of New York Press. This book was released on 1998-04-02 with total page 470 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The relationship between ethnic identity and power has important consequences in a modern world that is changing rapidly through global immigration trends. Studies of ethnic/racial conflict of ethnic identity and power become necessarily studies of political power, social status, school achievement, and allocation of resources. The recognition of power by an ethnic group, however, creates a competition for control and a rivalry for power over public arenas, such as schools. In this context this book provides interesting and important insights into the dilemmas faced by immigrants and members of ethnic groups, by school personnel, and by policy makers. The first part of the book consists of comparative studies of ethnic identity. The second part focuses directly on some of the lessons learned from social science research on ethnic identification and the critical study of equity, with its implications for pedagogy. An interdisciplinary group of scholars offers profoundly honest and stimulating accounts of their struggles to decipher self-identification processes in various political contexts, as well as their personal reflections on the study of ethnicity. A powerful message emerges that invites reflection about self-identification processes, and that allows a deeper understanding of the empowering consequences of a clear and strong personal, cultural, ethnic, and social identity. These pages offer a keen grasp of the undeniable political contexts of education.
Book Synopsis Anthropologies of Education by : Kathryn M. Anderson-Levitt
Download or read book Anthropologies of Education written by Kathryn M. Anderson-Levitt and published by Berghahn Books. This book was released on 2011-10-01 with total page 361 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Despite international congresses and international journals, anthropologies of education differ significantly around the world. Linguistic barriers constrain the flow of ideas, which results in a vast amount of research on educational anthropology that is not published in English or is difficult for international readers to find. This volume responds to the call to attend to educational research outside the United States and to break out of “metropolitan provincialism.” A guide to the anthropologies and ethnographies of learning and schooling published in German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Slavic languages, Japanese, and English as a second language, show how scholars in Latin America, Japan, and elsewhere adapt European, American, and other approaches to create new traditions. As the contributors show, educators draw on different foundational research and different theoretical discussions. Thus, this global survey raises new questions and casts a new light on what has become a too-familiar discipline in the United States.
