Book excerpt: A hilariously funny and informative memoir to guide breast cancer patients, their families and friends through the rocky terrain.Dr. Aronoff is the perfect Sherpa. Impossibly deep armpits, wigs named Brenda, nipples shaped like bullets and when to play the C-card. These are some of the things they never tell you about breast cancer. In this uplifting and poignant tale, Dr. Tali Lando Aronoff shares an honest account of her journey through the various stages of advanced breast cancer and beyond. As a pediatric ENT surgeon and mother of two toddlers and an infant just out of the Neonatal ICU, she was blind-sided by her cancer diagnosis. This well-crafted and appealing book uses small-bite storytelling to explore heavy topics such as body image and complex relationships with friends and family. Dr. Aronoffs voice is unique and relatable combining the knowledge-base of a physician and the personal insight of a patient. This is the book for the recently diagnosed, those in the thick of it or those who are finished with the battle, their family and friends and everyone else in between, including the doctors who care for them. Book Synopsis The Simple and Effective Diet by : Rahul Mookerjee
Download or read book The Simple and Effective Diet written by Rahul Mookerjee and published by 0 Excuses Fitness. This book was released on 2017-08-19 with total page 26 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: As Jack La Lanne, fitness pioneer a.k.a “The GodFather of Fitness“ said, “Exercise is king, and nutrition is queen – together they make a kingdom”. And it's true, my friend. It's SO true. They say you cannot out-train a bad diet, and that axiom holds very true for the most part as well. In this book, I will talk about a diet that, if followed regularly and combined with the right exercise program will get you supremely healthy. The advice in the book is simple and easy to follow – anyone can do it. The keyword here is “simple”, and I should tell you at the get-go itself that you will not need to devote hours of effort in the kitchen preparing meals to fit the guidelines I give you below. The average person has barely enough time to cook a decent meal, let alone a five course dinner – and I fully understand that. Preparing healthy, tasty food need NOT be a time consuming and arduous chore, and I think you’ll agree by the time you’ve finished the book. And the best part is that you won’t even think that you are “eating healthy” most of the time when you follow my recommendations. Remember that healthy and tasty are NOT mutually exclusive terms when it comes to food. Neither will you feel like you are starving (or denying yourself) as none of the recommendations ask you to deny yourself or even cut back on your servings, unless you are already at the point where you are eating too much. In a nutshell – eat HEALTHY, and eat WELL. That’s pretty much what I talk about in this book. Here are a few "interesting" nuggets in terms of what you can expect from this course - - Solid, down to earth advice on what sort of food items to eat, and what not to - How often to eat, and why the “commonly touted” advice on this doesn’t always work the best – and HAS NOT in my case (as well as several other super fit individuals). - Know the ONE item you need to avoid at all costs – and why you should be doing so - Figure out the type of meals you should be eating, and how they should be prepared - Learn about an often ignored part of your diet – and why doing so is detrimental to your overall health. - A “secret” health drink that most people flat out ignore – and my OWN results from drinking “pots of it daily” (hint, hint – it’s NOT coffee!) And more ... Right, that should be enough of an intro - on with it now!

Perseverance in the face of overwhelming adversity. These are just some of the qualities of the members of the U.S. Special Operation Forces. BEYOND HELL AND BACK details the seven defining Special Ops missions that have made the Special Operation Forces the best fighting unit in the world, including: *THE RESCUE OF BAT-21: The largest and longest Combat Search and Rescue mission in the Vietnam War lasted 17 days and cost the lives of 13 Americans—all to rescue one man and the invaluable knowledge he alone possessed. * TASK FORCE NORMANDY: Planned in secrecy and executed with flawless efficiency, Task Force Normandy was an Army/Air Force Special Operations joint op that fired the opening shots behind enemy lines in Operation Desert Storm. *OPERATION EAGLE CLAW: The devastating Special Forces operation mounted to retrieve 52 American hostages in Iran resulted in the deaths of eight members of the rescue team. This failure ultimately led to the creation of Special Operations Command. *BASHER 52: Captain Scott O'Grady was shot down over the "no fly" zone above Bosnia, and his daring rescue was one of the Marine Corps' finest operations ever. These are a few of the dramatic true tales that represent the defining moments that helped shape the operational methods, planning, and deployment for all future Special Ops missions. BEYOND HELL AND BACK is the greatest collection of Spec Ops missions ever assembled.

Instead of small sporadic incursions, hordes of demons now pour from these hell holes like water from a sieve. With bombing little more than a losing game of whack-a-mole, Earth’s armies are unable to destroy the portals. When Jack suggests a desperate plan, he is drafted to join Aileen and a team of other sorcerers and Army Rangers to travel to the demon homeworld. Once there, they will unleash a plague virus and set off a nuclear bomb to destroy the portal complex. It’s a suicide mission. But Aileen has given Jack’s wife her word to bring him back safely, and the demons have already killed three men under her protection. Just how far will Aileen go to avoid losing another?

Book Synopsis Summary of Harley Pasternak's The Body Reset Diet, Revised Edition by : Everest Media,

This book was released on 2022-05-22T22:59:00Z with total page 27 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Please note: This is a companion version & not the original book. Sample Book Insights: #1 So why do so many diets fail. Well, for starters, more people are listening to the wrong people when it comes to nutrition. And as a result, they are losing weight only to have it come back again and again. #2 The weight-loss pill and meal-replacement product industries are still growing, and they are loaded with artificial ingredients and synthetic forms of vitamins that are difficult to digest. They also crowd out real, natural foods. #3 The yo-yoing effect is when you lose weight on a diet, but then when you finally get tired and start eating real food again, your weight quickly balloons above your original starting point. This is because your metabolism is being disrupted. #4 Some diets, such as the Core plan at Nutrisystem, which lets you choose your own meals instead of having them chosen for you, are expensive. And some, like the Jenny Craig diet, are even pricier.
