Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An inquiry made to obtain any information is known as an interrogation. While asking the person tries to get an answer that allows him to satisfy his doubts. The interviewers often ask simple questions in a very twisted fashion to confuse the candidates. Difficult questions-answers reflect the knowledge of the giver as well as his overall personality. For example: 'Which is heavier: a kilogram of feathers or 1000 grams of lead?' (Solution: Both the weights are equal). And 'What happened in Kolkata yesterday from 8 to 9 o'clock? (Solution: An hour had passed).' These questions have a trick because they are framed in such a way that the answers seem simple, but in reality, they are not. It can be said that the questioners confuse the candidates as they hide their answers using rhetorical resources and various devices. In some cases, the answer is found in the question itself, but in secret. Tricky questions are also used for fun or as a mental activity of logical practice. Like a truck driver passing down a street in the wrong direction, some policemen saw him, but they didn't say anything to him, why? (Solution: Because the truck driver was on foot). He shaves all day but still has a beard, who is he? (Solution: Barber). Some months have thirty days and others thirty-one, but how many months have twenty-eight? (Solution: Every month has at least twenty-eight days). Which object becomes wet When it dries? (Solution: Towel) How do you draw a square with three lines? (Solution: draw the square first and then draw three lines inside the square). Thus, an answer to a tricky question can lead to confusion due to the confusion-generated question. These types of questions are very specific to the areas in which people's knowledge or behavior is evaluated. Generally, such difficult questions can be perceived as misleading or incorrect because something is being implied that is not in reality. However, they can also be seen as methods whose precise purpose is to test the candidate and determine whether he or she is fully capable of answering the question that he or she is saying. I know. In this way, about five thousand questions and answers have been given in the present book, which is equally useful for all competitive examinations.

Book excerpt: When I thought about writing a book about being a working musician, a few things went through my mind. Who am I to write a book on this subject? Am I really an expert on this? I spoke with more and more people who have known me for a long time and know my history. They all gave me a resounding, "Yes! You are in the business and have seen all areas of the business, go for it!" In my travels all around the world, many aspiring artists and musicians have asked me questions about touring. Many of the questions are similar, but some really stand out. Nevertheless, I've always made notes on what questions were asked. When I started writing this book, I quickly realized I was writing more than just a book on touring. It is a guide for the music business and solid musicianship in general. This is for the working musician who may play on the weekends for a hobby, but aspires to do more. Some "Notes" may be fairly basic. Others are for the advanced musician, who has already moved to Nashville, L.A., or New York. Everything in this collection is for any musician (or music lover) looking for secrets and tips about being on the road and beyond. This book is a personal account of this business from my humble opinion and experiences. Some may agree on certain points and some certainly will not. Often, there are no clear-cut guidelines in this business. The following notes are some of mine. Enjoy your read and leverage my experiences (and mistakes) to help you on your musical journey. I hope it helps you become successful in whatever aspect of the business you pursue. Don't let anyone stop you... go for it!

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The music industry is an artist-centered business environment. Many operations are the result of an artist's management or the artist themselves managing initiatives or reactions. This book deals with the environment and practices affecting it. Where the first volume of this book series dealt with agreements, this second part represents the realities and themes generally perceived to be worth pursuing. The first volume intended to understand agreements, whereas in this book we try to understand the artist. Knowledge of the music industry is central. Reciprocity and understanding the needs of others is a cornerstone to successful operations. When the artist's management and other background forces are able to imagine themselves in the artist's position, it is easier to relate their own activities towards achieving common goals. On the other hand, when an artist understands their affiliates' and their needs, it is easier for them to accept the measures they have to take. The author of this book has had an over two-decade career as an international artist manager and legal advisor. His first book was considered widely throughout the world. This second volume deals with the same topic from another perspective. Although it is specially targeted for artists and managers, it is also suitable for general information needs. The book is well suited also for educational use.
