Nous avons développé et évalué deux nouvelles méthodes de correction d'atténuation, l'une basée sur l'IRM segmentée, l'autre sur un atlas de transmission ne nécessitant pas un scan de transmission supplémentaire. Afin de valider ces méthodes dans un environnement clinique, nous avons procédé à une évaluation comparative exhaustive de l'effet de la carte d'atténuation sur la quantification absolue et relative en imagerie TEP cérébrale fonctionnelle. Par ailleurs, nous avons examiné l'impact de la correction du rayonnement diffusé sur la distribution de [18]F-[Fluorodéoxyglucose] des images TEP cérébrales. Les méthodes développées dans cette thèse ont montré leur potentiel à faire partie intégrale des méthodologies spécifiques aux technologies novatrices en instrumentation TEP.
