Book Synopsis Automatic Control of Aircraft and Missiles by : John H. Blakelock
Download or read book Automatic Control of Aircraft and Missiles written by John H. Blakelock and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 1991-09-03 with total page 668 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This Second Edition continues the fine tradition of its predecessor by exploring the various automatic control systems in aircraft and on board missiles. Considerably expanded and updated, it now includes new or additional material on: the effectiveness of beta-beta feedback as a method of obtaining coordination during turns using the F-15 as the aircraft model; the root locus analysis of a generic acceleration autopilot used in many air-to-air and surface-to-air guided missiles; the guidance systems of the AIM-9L Sidewinder as well as bank-to-turn missiles; various types of guidance, including proportional navigation and line-of-sight and lead-angle command guidance; the coupling of the output of a director fire control system into the autopilot; the analysis of multivariable control systems; and methods for modeling the human pilot, plus the integration of the human pilot into an aircraft flight control system. Also features many new additions to the appendices.
Book Synopsis Control and Dynamic Systems V33: Advances in Aerospace Systems Dynamics and Control Systems Part 3 of 3 by : C.T. Leonides
Download or read book Control and Dynamic Systems V33: Advances in Aerospace Systems Dynamics and Control Systems Part 3 of 3 written by C.T. Leonides and published by Academic Press. This book was released on 2012-12-02 with total page 320 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Control and Dynamic Systems: Advances in Theory in Applications, Volume 33: Advances in Aerospace Systems Dynamics and Control Systems, Part 3 of 3 deals with significant advances in technologies which support the development of aerospace systems. It also presents several algorithms and computational techniques for complex aerospace systems. This book first presents a survey of analytical redundancy techniques to improve turbine engine control systems. It then discusses techniques for remotely piloted vehicles; control configured vehicles (CCV) techniques; aircraft handling; pilot-vehicle dynamics; and optimal control techniques for complex aerospace structure. This text is an excellent reference for research and professional workers in the field who want a comprehensive source of techniques with significant applied implications.

Book Synopsis Mathematical Models of Human Pilot Behavior by : Duane T. McRuer
Download or read book Mathematical Models of Human Pilot Behavior written by Duane T. McRuer and published by . This book was released on 1974 with total page 430 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The use of mathematical models of the human pilot in analyses of the pilot/vehicle system has brought a new dimension to the engineering treatment of flying qualities, stability and control, pilot/vehicle integration, and display system considerations. As an introduction to such models, elementary concepts and specific physical examples are used to set the stage for a step-by-step development of what is known about the human pilot as a dynamic control component. In the process, quasi-linear models for single-loop systems with visual stimuli and multiloop systems with visual stimuli are presented and then extended to cover multiloop, multi-modality situtations. Empirical connections between the pilot dynamics and pilot ratings are also considered. Some of the most important nonlinear features of human pilot behavior in adapting to changes in the character of the stimuli are described and tied to the quasi-linear models.
