The study of social space in any human group is fraught with limitations, and to these we must add the further limits involved in the study of childhood. Here specialists from archaeology, history, literature, architecture, didactics, museology and anthropology build a body of theoretical and methodological approaches about how space is articulated and organized around children and how this disposition affects the creation and maintenance of social identities. Children are considered as the main actors in historic dynamics of social change, from prehistory to the present day. Notions on space, childhood and the construction of both the individual and the group identity of children are considered as a prelude to papers that focus on analyzing and identifying the spaces which contribute to the construction of children’s identity during their lives: the places they live, learn, socialize and play. A final section deals with these same aspects, but focuses on funerary contexts, in which children may lose their capacity to influence events, as it is adults who establish burial strategies and practices. In each case authors ask questions such as: how do adults construct spaces for children? How do children manage their own spaces? How do people (adults and children) build (invisible and/or physical) boundaries and spaces?

Based on an 18th Century Rhyme with which kids can learn the alphabet and the use of some verbs in the past tense while reading, additionally, kids have the chance to learn Spanish. The Apple Pie ABC is an 18th Century children rhyme was meant to teach children the order of the alphabet. According to The Oxford Dictionary of Nursery Rhymes (Oxford and New York, 2nd edition), pp. 53-4 by Peter & Iona Opie (1997). The earliest mention of the rhyme was in religious work in 1671 only using the letter A to G. The first printed version of the rhyme was in "Child's new plaything" in London 1742 and Boston 1750, this book was intended to make the learning process fun. After that, in London 1747 and Boston 1764, appear in "Tom Thumb's Playbook" for the early learning purpose. The more famous publication was A Apple Pie by Kate Greenaway in London 1886, which due to her wonderful illustration get to captivate a big public nationally and internationally. Up today have being reprinted many times in the U.S. At the 18th century the writing of the capital letters I and J, and of U and V, was not differentiated, which explains the absence of the two vowels in the early versions. Later versions added I and U with, "I inspected it" and "U upset it".

It spans Lope's literary career, discussing (pseudo-)historical, tragic and peasant plays in order to show Lope's texts as complex negotiations between author and public, between conservatism and subversion, between representations of the ideal of kingship and its political reality, in a period of social and political change. Drawing on contemporary Spanish political philosophy, McKendrick shows that far from glorifying monarchy and advocating absolutism (the orthodox view in the Hispanic world), Lope's political plays constitute an informed critiqueof kingship; she also challenges the received wisdom that the comedia was an instrument of stage and that its playwrights were the conscious propagandists of an aristocratic elite. With the help of insights and models provided by the speech act theory, the stratagems and techniques utilised by Lope to follow the path of prudence between the acceptable and the unacceptable in political commentary in the commercial theatre are scrutinised, illustrating how richly nuanced texts produce not an ideologically monolithic and complacent drama but one which is at once politically anxious and probing.
