Los hijos sienten afecto por sus padres, considerando disminuida su expresion por la sobrecarga de roles asumidas o por no ser una manifestacion acostumbrada en el seno familiar, refieren dificultades comunicativas y excluyen al mayor de la toma de decisiones por razones psicologicas, economicas o sociales. Los nietos aprecian la experiencia del mayor pero reclaman su comprension, razon que afecta la comunicacion entre generaciones.La Abuelidad sustituye al rol social y es apreciada por todas las generaciones como un recurso valioso aunque existen contradicciones. Debemos continuar la linea investigativa por su importancia para lograr el bienestar y elevar la calidad dede vida del adulto mayor."
