Ausgefhrt, dessen Direktion, vor allem Prof. F. R. Lillie mir jede Hilfe angedeihen lie und mich zu groem Dank verpflichtete. Herr Thomas assistierte mir bei den Zuchten. Whrend der Winterser'nester 1914 - 1918 geno ich die vor treffliche Gastfreundschaft des Osborn Zoological' Laboratory der Yale University, New Haven, (bonn., dessen Direktor, Prof. R. G. Harrison ich niemals werde genug danken knnen fr alles, was er fr mich in ruhiger wie in kritischer Zeit tat. 'leider wurde dann meine Arbeit vor der Zuchtsaison 1918 durch die Folgen der kriegerischen Er eignisse unterbrochen und das einzigartige Zuchtmaterial ging auch zugrunde, da die hysterische und schikanse Haridhabung der Brief zensur im Internierungslager eine Verfgung unmglich machte. Wahrend der J ahre'meiner Abwesenheit von der Heimat fhrte mein vortrefflicher Mitarbeiter, Dr. Seiler alle in Berlin befindlichen Zuchten in gewissen haftester Weise unter nicht immer leichten Verhltnissen weiter und trug so nicht wenig dazu bei, da die Arbeit erfolgreich durchgefhrt werden konnte; ihm gebhrt mein besonderer Dank.
