I focused on reasons why women decided to become self-employed, barriers they need to faced, benefits connected with being self-employed and relations between entrepreneurs. My main aim was to characterize the phenomenon of self- employment, to find out if it might change unequal access to economic power in the labour market and, as a result, in the whole social order.
