Wie ebenfalls deutlich wird, bieten sich oft schon verschiedene Möglichkeiten der Interpretation dessen, was als "lustig" betrachtet wird, wenn man nur zwei Humortheoretiker zur Untersuchung heranzieht. Konsequenter Weise könnten moderne Humortheoretiker wahrscheinlich weitere Möglichkeiten der Interpretation aufzeigen.
