This book was released on 2009-07-19 with total page 418 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

This book was released on 2006 with total page 296 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The paradigm of social network analysis (SNA) is widely recognized as a potential approach to analyze, evaluate, and influence communication processes. The author argues that SNA proves useful as a theoretical concept and as a practical tool for knowledge communication in research and development (R&D). The context of innovative knowledge generation in organizational R&D environments is introduced very broadly with reference to the existing literature. The pragmatic approach of networks is outlined as a powerful concept to grasp the social relationships between individuals as well as between social aggregates for conceptual and analytical purposes. Based on three case studies, methods of SNA are simplified and illustrated according to their basic steps to meet practical needs and show their usefulness for business practice. Moreover, the book provides examples for interventions and follow-up activities to improve processes of organizational knowledge communication based on SNA.
Book Synopsis Wissensmanagement aus der Perspektive des Wissensmanagers. Aufgaben und Anforderungen by : Christine Trampitsch

This book was released on 2014-06-13 with total page 139 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Synopsis Institute of Brilliant Failures by : Paul Louis Iske
Download or read book Institute of Brilliant Failures written by Paul Louis Iske and published by . This book was released on 2020-04-20 with total page 232 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: 'You can learn from your failures.' 'Entrepreneurship is trial and error.' These statements are hard to disagree with, but in reality it is not that simple. More than ever, we wish to be successful and erase all traces of mistakes and failures as soon as possible. This is not only a pity, but potentially dangerous as well, says professor Paul Louis Iske. Only when we dare to face what we do wrong can we make a thorough analysis and avoid unnecessary recurrence and disappointments. Fear of failure impedes creative thinking and innovation. This compelling book shows you how to develop a culture of openness in your organization and how failure paradoxically leads to significant progress. Institute of Brilliant Failures teaches you how to recognize recurring failing patterns at an early stage, how to harvest essential learnings and how to embrace uncertainty. Paul Louis Iske is professor of Open Innovation and Business Venturing at the School of Business and Economics, Maastricht University (the Netherlands) and Extraordinary Professor of Knowledge Management at Stellenbosch University (South Africa). He is Chief Failure Officer (CFO) at the Institute of Brilliant Failures, and a sought-after international consultant in the areas of innovation, sustainable business models, creativity and knowledge management.

This book was released on 2012 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Applying the theoretical lens of organizational institutionalism, this study analyzes the spread of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the Austrian corporate world. The objectives are threefold: First, to explore the institutional framework in place; second, to explain the dissemination of CSR in terms of adopters' characteristics and field-level pressures; and third, to understand the structuring dimensions of meaning within the CSR discourse. The findings demonstrate that a specific sub-population is more inclined to espouse commitment to CSR policies. Against the background of an ambiguous nature and definition of CSR, this study also shows how actor categories and divergent thematic embeddings serve as a basis for the concept's theorization, and elaborates on a distinct constellation of empirical sub-discourses.

Book Synopsis Leading Change toward Sustainability by : Bob Doppelt
Download or read book Leading Change toward Sustainability written by Bob Doppelt and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2017-09-08 with total page 327 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: As the world struggles to cope with the growing threat of a global carbon crisis, Doppelt has revised one of the best books ever written about change management, leadership and sustainability to focus on de-carbonisation. Doppelt's research, presented in this hugely readable book, demystify the sustainability-change process by providing a theoretical framework and a methodology that managers can use to successfully transform their organisations to embrace sustainable development. Filled with case examples, interviews and checklists on how to move corporate and governmental cultures toward sustainability, the book argues that the key factors that facilitate change appear in the successful efforts at companies such as AstraZeneca, Nike, Starbucks, IKEA, Chiquita, Interface, Swisscom and Norm Thompson and in governmental efforts such as those in the Netherlands and Santa Monica in California. For these and other cutting-edge organisations, leading change is a philosophy for success. Leading Change toward Sustainability has been used by change leaders around the world to guide their internal global warming and sustainability organisational change initiatives. This new edition is essential reading for leaders from all types of organisations.
Book Synopsis The Future of International Relations by : Iver B. Neumann
Download or read book The Future of International Relations written by Iver B. Neumann and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2005-06-29 with total page 423 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book presents the state of the art of international relations theory through an analysis of the work of twelve key contemporary thinkers; John Vincent, Kenneth Waltz, Robert O. Keohane, Robert Gilpin, Bertrand Badie, John Ruggie, Hayward Alker, Nicholas G. Onuf, Alexander Wendt, Jean Bethke Elshtain, R.B.J. Walker and James Der Derian. The authors aim to break with the usual procedure in the field which juxtaposes aspects of the work of contemporary theorists with others, presenting them as part of a desembodied school of thought or paradigm. A more individual focus can demonstrate instead, the well-rounded character of some of the leading oeuvres and can thus offer a more representative view of the discipline. This book is designed to cover the work of theorists whom students of international relations will read and sometimes stuggle with. The essays can be read either as introductions to the work of these theorists or as companions to it. Each chapter attempts to place the thinker in the landscape of the discipine, to identify how they go about studying International Relations, and to discuss what others can learn from them.

Book Synopsis Russia and the Idea of Europe by : Iver B. Neumann
Download or read book Russia and the Idea of Europe written by Iver B. Neumann and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2013-02-01 with total page 357 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The end of the Soviet system and the transition to the market in Russia, coupled with the inexorable rise of nationalism, has brought to the fore the centuries-old debate about Russia's relationship with Europe. In Russia and the Idea of Europe Iver Neumann discusses whether the tensions between self-referencing romantic nationalist views and Europe-orientated liberal views can ever be resolved. Drawing on a wide range of Russian sources, Neumann outlines the argument as it has unfolded over the last two hundred years, showing how Russia is caught between the attraction of an economically, politically and socially more developed Europe, and the attraction of being able to play a European -style inperial role in less-developed Asia. Neumann argues that the process of delineating a European "other" from the Russian self is an active form of Russian identity formation. The Russian debate about Europe is also a debate about what Rusia is and should be.
